My idea was a 5 string Banjo where the 5th string goes all the way up to the nut (basically modeled after the WL5) so that you can bypass the need to get railroad spike capos & also easily convert it into a left handed banjo w/o changing the neck.

    The notes of a D7 chord are D, F#, A and C. Aren't you missing the F#?

Am I the only person who struggles with clean sounds (I'm SUPER new so please forgive my lack of correct terms)? I feel like my middle finger mutes/rests on the 2nd string when I press it down on the 3rd string, affecting the clean pluck/strum of the 2nd string. It's mostly a problem when I try to use both fingers, so if I'm only using one at a time it's pretty much ok. Perhaps my strings are closer together? Any tips or resources for how to place my fingers correctly? I just started learning with a different Deering Banjo Company video, this one on Clawhammer that I really enjoy! kzread.info/dash/bejne/eaJ1vM6oe5q2aJs.html
