    Happy New Year! I’m happy that this video might have helped you and your wife upgrade! I’m currently running these T101 and T301 at full range for the first time. I’m quite impressed. They obviously have their limitations, due to their size constraints, but they are great speakers. Cheers, my friend!

    @@blazermdx no worries. You should have a look at the Polk audio HTS12 I have two of them and they slam hard probably one of the best 12 inch subwoofer I have owned. And are you running a 7.2.4 in your new setup?

    Happy New Year! Nice tips on hiding the speaker wires. I like that flat speaker wire... I might have to get some as I'm running speaker wires under a rug just like your set up. Btw... nice collections in the curio. Really digging that Slave 1 and Tie Advance👍

    Thank you my friend! The flat speaker wire really does make a great difference, especially if you have a thin rug like me. Those 2 Star Wars pieces were my first, I just love them! They are made by a company called Code 3 but unfortunately, they are out of business. I’ll likely be adding the matching Chicken Walker, if I can find a mint one. Thanks for stopping by!

    Thank you for watching! I had one of the first Rythmik FV15HP in WA, back in the day. Still the finest sub I’ve ever owned. These REL 1508 are truly impressive, even if they aren’t as good as SVS and Rythmik on paper. So much so, that I decided to sell one off. I’m leaning towards a pair of white F15HP or a pair of Arendal subs. I’m positive I’d be happy with either decision. Thank you again for continuing to stick around, Alex!

    Yeah, I just love these ST towers. Like I mentioned in the video, this was the 3rd or 4th time I have bought and sold them. I miss the immediately, once they have sold. The Mythos Ten on the other hand, I’ve definitely owned better centers. I just can’t quite get it to sound right in my room. At least it had zero chance against my KEF R3 center. Still a nice speaker tough.

    @@blazermdx you would definitely like the GoldenEars triton 2. I had a pair I bought for cheap then sold them after a while and now totally regret it 🤦🏻‍♂️. The Mythos St are a bit sexier but the triton 2 sound a bit better IMO. it all comes down to taste. But is the reason why I got multiple subs (2x paradigm sub 1 and 2x jl fathom f113) I don’t wanna regret selling them

    I’m a big GoldenEar fan. I’ve owned a few of their speakers but sadly, none of the Triton towers. I’ve listened to them, just never had them in my place to really let them rip. You have a Fathom F113? Always wanted to try that beast. I’ve even considered a pair of the E112 as my next subs. I have much respect for JL!

    Very, clean, organized look for a bachelor's pad. I like the comfy, modern couch. I think an oak entertainment console could brighten the space and match well with the Rs and couch, to tie it all in. Andrew Robinson released a video today that could provide inspiration. I think if you could find some used Kef KF92s, that would rock your system and provide even more extension in a smaller enclosure. For something easier on the wallet, I think a pair of Rythmik L12s or Arendal 1961 1s would fit nicely with their small footprint. Happy new year. I hope your channel grows exponentially in 2023.

    Thank you! I went with a dark stand, so it wouldn’t draw attention to itself. I’ve had this stand longer than anything I’ve ever owned, when it comes to audio purchases. I just love it. I also choose the R3 in walnut, for some contrast. I’ve added a side table that matches perfectly, to hopefully tie things together. But like you mentioned, I’m a bachelor, so design has never been my strong suit. Funny you mention the KF92s, they are on my short list. Arendal subs and Rythmik are also at the top of my short list. I love it when you stop by, as you definitely know your stuff. I appreciate you!

  • @krupkake1

    So interesting I have a VERY similar setup. ST-L’s for the front and the cs9080 for the center, but I too am using T301 for the surrounds and T101 for rear surrounds. Did you use your ST’s lfe ports, or was your REL handling all of that?

  • @blazermdx

    @blazermdx

    Жыл бұрын

    Wow, very similar setups! That CS9080 is definitely an upgrade to this Mythos Ten. The center is the weak link in this setup. Not saying it’s a bad speaker, it just can’t hang with the towers. At one point, I had 3 ST towers as my LCR, which was awesome. I was not using the REL with this setup. I just ran the subs in the towers, off my LFE channels, so I had more control of the settings. I’ve also run the ST as large with no LFE, with great success. Great setup my friend!

    Hey, thanks! It’s constantly changing but every change, I get things closer to exactly what I want. The TV is only a 65” so I’m sitting around 6 feet in the main viewing position. I’ll likely be going with a 77” soon, so I might end up bringing the couch back a little, to accommodate. Thanks for the question!

    What surround platform do you ultimately prefer coming from a renter to a home owner meaning putting as many holes in the wall to achieve a final outcome. I'm on the cumulative of 13 year slow upgrade real slow anyway I was originally going for the 4 or 6 atmos format that is the 7.4.3 but ultimately settled on the auro 3d 7.6.2 I'm not sure if that's totally accurate is 7 level 3 high front with 3 mid high LR including voice of God channel what are your thoughts? Reference thoughts system is MartinLogan Vista's with 5) ML Motion 6 surrounds 2) ML Xl Slims 2) ML Motion 2 rears and a ML Motif X Center Channel oh and 1) Amer Series VOG Monoprice to try to match the ML folded motion tweeters would also like a comment on my system I recently purchased the Denon X6700H to use the up converter auro 3d Mostly Old school Monster cable wires with some Monoprice speaker wire and radio shack gold plated banana plugs very long sorry hope to hear your thoughts tks God bless love your channel

    Been looking at the Kef T series or the Arendal 1961 series to get the speakers off the floor in my bedroom. How do the Kefs sound as main speakers?

  • @blazermdx

    @blazermdx

    Жыл бұрын

    Between those two options, I’d probably lean towards the Arendal, especially if you don’t have a sub or two. I just love these KEF speakers but their slim cabinets definitely restrict the bass response. I’m still fine tuning everything but I expect to cross them over around the 140hz range so a quality sub is a requirement. I’ve never heard any Arendal speakers but I’ve been reading all about how good they sound. In fact, my next sub might be an Arendal, if I don’t go Rythmik again.

    Thank you! I just loved my Eames replicas but I just couldn’t get fully comfortable and get the “movie like” experience with them. This is a top grain leather couch from a company called Kasala. I’ve always wanted an orange, highly quality couch and this one checked all the boxes. Wasn’t cheap by any means but it was one of the best additions of 2022. I just don’t know if Kasala is available everywhere. Let me know if you need a specific model number, as I’m out and about and I don’t have that info handy.

    Bjc needs a update there website so outdated it could be alot better imo have you tried svs sound path ultra cables ? That’s what I’m running right now about the same price but a lot better looking that just a white cable I also have used the cable sleeves to make everything nice and neat and just today I’ve used the Velcro strips to secure my power strip underneath the tv stand hidden away from view

  • @blazermdx

    @blazermdx

    Жыл бұрын

    Yeah, their website looks like it was made in the early 90’s, no doubt about it. I had a pair of the SVS cables, they were also quite nice. I’d still have them but a nice kid that I sold some Klipsch speakers off me was eyeballing them so I tossed them in. He couldn’t believe it. I really do like the looks and quality of the entire SVS cable lineup. And they are reasonably priced, especially considering how nutty audio cables can get. Velcro, another cable management lifesaver. I should have mentioned it but thanks for posting!

  • @blazermdx

    It was a custom made stand. It’s pretty easy to make though. It’s just 2” live edge slabs with heavy duty metal brackets. If you’re in the Seattle area, I’ll sell it to you. Wall mounting the TV in the next week or two
