    Actually, that doesn't have to be the case. I find each kind of acrylic has different properties. Using the acrylic I have at home I really do have to make them a little more thick whereas I was able to have really nice and thin acrylic nails when I used to visit a nail salon. Also, they were applying it pretty wet and if I try to do that at home, it's running all over the place. So I guess it's really all about the acrylic or the liquid they're using... :)

    I am in school and we just started acrylics this week. It looks so simple, but it is really hard! I was pretty bummed because I am pretty sucky at it (LOL!) but my instructor told me that it really does require tons of practice to get it right. Thanks for the "don't drg your brush" trick. I need all the help I can get :)

    take a deep breath before you begin and exhale slowly - relax your shoulders and don't over think it - pinkie's are easier that thumbs cause they are smaller - work in small beads NOT one giant bead - take your time to learn - it's an ART - more liquid added to your bead is not useful - work within your existing bead -I'll be doing more video with more details on this :))

    I'm in the same boat - I'm up to acrylics in my course and we have to do an acrylic balling sheet with different-sized circles to fill with acrylic. Thank you so much for your videos - I'm going to practice it again tomorrow without dragging the brush :)

And have you done a lot with the videotapes from Suzie to learn a lot quicker❣️And also do you still like to do it❓ And do you still practice, or do you make people happy 😃with you’re nails skills now 💅🏻👍🏻 I hope you do. I would just like to say. I love you. Quick story. I dont get to spend time with my daughters and when i do, it just alot of fighting and yelling. (their ages are 17, 15, 9, 6). We used to do mommy and me day every Saturday. Nails, Hair stuff like that. Just recent i wanted to get into doing nails cause we used to have so much fine doing nails in the house. I figure a better way to spend time with them and not spend $200 at the salon. I watch your videos everyday just learning. I just ordered all the items im going to need (i mean everything, gel acrylic and all. even jews) Im great at hair but not good with nails. So just wanted to say you make it so much easier to learn and i believe it will help with me and my daughters.

    Oh Dainearra, I have many friends n clients whom have daughters / they can be tough, you gotta a lot of hormones in that house my friend- my best advice - no matter what never take them up it when they test you - don't take it personal - it's tough not to but it's not YOU - it's teens hormones - they'll be 20 before ya know and nobody remembers what the arguments are about anyway - in the meantime create and polish nails - I love that idea - your a smart mom

I'm talking she didn't check my cuticles, used a hard file to buff them off and cut all my fingers. Then she messed up the shape and length on all my nails, her liquid to powder ratio was so bad it was like straight liquid. And it's all over my cuticles, plus their all flat . I'm glad I found you so I can learn the right way to do nails before I even start. Thank you so much for uploading these ☺️☺️

    Yes- that's awesome thing about showing these tips via video as apposed to in person in real time - this video I was focusing strictly on the LIQUID TO POWDER ratio - it was not focusing on sculpting a new set of nails - so during the edit we could cut around all the application stuff and really narrow in on the topic of this video - if we showed the entire new set application in real time it would be too long and my point of the importance of Liquid to Powder Ratio, could likely be missed😀

    Echo!Frisk Actually, Gel or Acrylic is perfectly fine for your nails - it's the improper application and/or removal from unskill nail techs that damage them. Suzie mentions this many times, and her own nails are perfectly fine.

    I mean, there was really no information what the ratio is other than "It's hard to learn." The only actual info in this video was her saying to hold the brush in the powder for ~3 seconds.

  • @prettipoison

    @prettipoison

    7 жыл бұрын

    Actually that was really important for me because I am self teaching by watching videos from pro's like Suzie and I have been dragging my brush in the powder!! And yes she is so right about how it gets all mucky and a mess. I'm going to definitely follow her suggestion of holding for a few seconds instead of dragging!!
