Falsetto and head voice are just the same. If there is a chest voice version of falsetto, it would be soft speaking.

Mariah Carey did a lot of singing in whistle register, like in Vision of Love and Emotion. It's pretty much a trademark of her sound.

My siblings make fun of me by saying that my voice sounds funny. I used to sing like falsetto and they say its a fake voice. Since then i lost all the confidence while singing.. I know i don't sound beautiful like any artist. But i love to sing. 😔😔 i just can't... I always think that my voice is not good at singing..

I replayed your video and scanned it with my spectogram tool. I suspect the video was compressed because it lost a lot of your upper overtones. Your whistle tone is exactly what I thought it would be, a form of falsetto as there was only one dominant overtone, namely the tone you were singing. The jury is out on your head mix because I could only see 4 overtones. I wish I had a wave file.

Wow, that is a first. Never had someone analyze my voice through a spectogram tool before. KZread definitely compresses the audio.

@@adammishan It is a shame they do that! Sometimes a fully resonant voice can't be appreciated without those higher overtones.

If whistle voice zips up it would be the back end of the chords vibrating correct? Some people have said the back part is wide open, but the front part vibrates but if that's the case why would it be called zipping up? If it's zipping then the more and more chord closes up from front to back and less and less toward the back of the chords is vibrating.

You're not entirely correct. The male whistle register starts aroud A flat below C5. What you showed was the falsetto whistle. Full voice whistle is a can or can't situation. Coloratura sopranos and Coloratura Mezzo's and Colorstura Contralto's all use the female voice full voice whistle. Leggiero tenors like Adam Lambert uses his male whistle register all of the time. Men can also be coloraturas there is just no real name for it. We call men who have light tennor voices that uses the male whistle voice - leggiero tenors or tenore di grazia. Some dramatic baritones also have this extension to their voice they are called Verdi Baritones. Even bass voices can extend their range due to the ability to use the male whistle voice. Just saying.
