Beginner's Guide To Buffs and Debuffs, the Real Power in Tactics Ogre Reborn
Ойындар
Still somehow managed to forget:
Fear, Silence, Petrify, Sleep, and Charm prevent Recruitment
Silence (Obvious)
Haste (Make go fast)
Hover (Not affected by tile effects)
Limber (Jump go whoosh)
Flight (I wonder what this does)
Lavawalk (Shoes become fire)
Leaden and Petrify (Mentioned, but also prevents Knockback.
It's not every interaction possible, but way more than should've been there in a beginner's guide anyways, I suppose.
Feel free to buff the coffers if you like what's going on around here!

I used sleep constantly with a Donnalto turned wizard. Gave him every single mind charm I could find. He could put to sleep everyone with 100% accuracy, same with poison. ^^

can you imagine how insanely OP charm would be (more than it already is) if you could control the unit who's charmed? It'd be insane.

Interestingly enough, this is how wrangler charm works in Fell Seal. When you charm an enemy, their turn comes up next and you control them like they're one of your units, and the turn after that they function like a guest (AI-controlled but on your team), and then turn after that, it wears off.

I can't wait for that, and hey, if folks went to help afford this hobby, all the better!
I picked up Reborn off the summer sale because I had always been looking for an excuse to get into the series, and your content has been phenomenal at helping me get through understanding the game as something more than just FFT.

Try Terror Knights into Ninjas sometime, too. Lament is hilarious with ninja magic.
Never got around to finishing this game and was thinking about coming back to playing this again. Have to say, thank you for these videos. I will binge on them right as I start a new run to hopefully make it to end without hopping games.

Glad to help, and yeah, this is a game a lot of folks bounce off of and come back to. It's a bit overwhelming by design. Between the story constantly changing from little things, and numbers of ways you can win fights, it can be confusing.

I don’t think anyone finished this game lol
Don't forget that fear also lowers ATK. So feared archers are useless, and fear itself can be a way to neuter incoming damage, which lets terror knights do a similar amount of mitigation as knights. Leaden and Slow are important because they aren't resisted very often. Leaden comes in handy when the enemy is still far away, and slow would be overpowered if it had more range or higher % to hit. The point with Strengthen and Spellcraft is that they are weaker than the debuff versions. You get more value cancelling out Weaken and Spoilspell than plain buffing, in exchange for it being much easier to buff or aoe buff at the start of the battle.

Plus how commonly that's the case later on. For some reason that gets brought up as a bad thing that makes it useless. Just...hit em again. Not like they brought another 🤣

Fear is so good that there is an entire generic class based on it. The terror knights can turn a dangerous situation when three powerful units advance on one of yours into something very manageable with lament of the dead.
Question I've been meaning to ask: I've seen a few Reborn videos of yours sprinkled here and there where a unit or two isn't using a weapon skill. What's your verdict on that? (other than the TO standard of "it depends" lmaooo) Usually, you'll want it, I'm guessing, besides those niche builds? lol
@CoffeePotato

Pretty much same rules as OV there. If they need to penetrate something, it's handy. If they're doing well enough without it, and don't need the finishers, it's a slot. Like casters casters and archers generally always want them, but a charm archer or debuff/support caster only need it if they need the pivot. Like a cleric looking for an ice punish with a Caldia. Doesn't sound like much, but if there's only phys cards near them, and that gryph flew in passing a TK, they could very well become a makeshift Dragoon on accident. So uhh...it depends 🤣
My personal top debuff is death works 50% of the time every time.
oh, leaden/petrify prevent knockback? that explains a lot
@CoffeePotato

Yup, as does some water situations...kinda. like I think water lowers the odds a lot or some such, shield bashes aren't super reliable on water tiles unless they are the same kind of water tiles.
Remember, there is one semi generic that is actually worse than generics you can hire/recruit, its Chemos, old guy has 1 extra RT.

The man, the myth, the friggin Sloth. I need to go back and get that dude again. Plus side, this gives him better survivability due to a longer bleed out timer.

Is it true that deploying zombies DRASTICALLY damages other units' loyalty?
@CoffeePotato
Жыл бұрын
No, just that being a zombie in a suicide squad drops their own loyalty. Loyalty gains are plentiful, you really have to try to get units to leave most of the time.
I'm running two terror knights, one dead eagle guy and Canopus, Lancer girl with her healer sister, denam, Arycelle, a lizard guy and folcurt. And they're absolutely breezing through end of chapter four. I just took over Heim and that one of the easiest conquest. Also quick question, why do I get booed on my level up screen?
