I am a writer / game developer for Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game, an open source retro-clone role-playing game that emulates, and is largely compatible with, the 1981 Basic and Expert sets of Dungeons & Dragons. I love Basic, but am also a fan of 1st Edition AD&D, White Box Fantastic Medieval Adventure Game, Top Secret, Gamma World, Call of Cthulhu, and many other legacy and retro systems.

I can't help mentioning my favorite method for generating ability scores. 4d6 drop lowest and make one switch between two scores. That way you can tweak the character in a way that makes it viable for whatever class you wish, but also makes the characters really unique and surprising. Oh, and I don't use bonus/penalty on xp.

I've got a weird question, Todd. What's the word you say when you start your videos? I hear it every time and I have no idea what it is.

Tansi (or Tânisi), which is the traditional greeting in many Cree dialects.
