This is perfectly logical and the math is easy for me. I have never had this explained so clearly as you have done. Good job and I have been guilting for years but I always learn something new. My mind is open and I look forward to learning new things everyday about life, love, generosity, mercy and forgiveness and QUILTING. Your style is even tempered and not condescending, tyfs. Loraine Leuschke thank you so much for the encouragement! I was so concerned I didn’t explain it clearly :) happy sewing!
Thanks Kea, I like your method!
Great video! Please don’t stop making them. I’m missing your quilting tutorials now that you’ve started to do more cross stitch. 😢

@@KeaBee Thank you - you too, Kea🐝🐝🐝
Hi Kea! Love your videos!
Beautiful fingernails!
thank you, this was great.
Thank you for this tutorial, I like this method and will print the cheat sheet from fqs. I seem to have problems when trimming the blocks, forgetting that 1/4 inch seem to make the nine patch look nice. I am still learning...
Thank you for the FQS cheat sheet! I had forgotten all about it.
I love this method. It works for my brain too. Thank you.

Love your method thank so much
Got it now. Great brain pic!
Genius!! I do not mind an inch is waste at all. I could not wrap my brain around the cheat sheet. When I try to do the math myself I end up with squares that are two small! Quilt Math 🙄 Plus this is easy to remember! Thank you!
Thank you
This so works for my brain. Thank you! I love the quilt behind you with the strips and totally obsessed with it!!! Would you please tell me the name of the fabric line??? Please, please, pretty please!!!
Great video 🌻
Cool
Love the Quilt and tutorial. ? Do you starch before you cut borders or after they are cut?
Thanks for this tutorial, very helpful😊
Wonderful video and very simple method for on point work. Just a little reminder for the beginner quilter: a square on point is not a diamond shape.
Thank you for your video! It is basic sewing which is what I needed. How do you do this for a large nine patch? I’ve ripped this apart for the second time. The nine patch I made for a medallion is 23 1/4” by 23 1/4” square. I don’t have a mat big enough to measure the triangle. Any suggestions?
Great block. Do you have a tutorial on quilting your tops. I like straight quilting also echo but don’t know where to begin thanks.
🤗
Love you site!! I am searching your videos to find the large quilt that is right over your shoulder. Would you have the link? It would be perfect for a Christmas gift for My sister-in-law. TIA
Could you starch the bias before sewing
When cutting the squares can you cut on the little points instead of like you said in the valley of them. I have seen most do from the point. That confuses me. If you go by the point is that going to change anything? Thank y ou
Hi! I’m a total newbie....this may be a silly question, but you are NOT supposed to cut off pinked edge, it goes in your measurement?
Did ndot find link to cheat sheet. Good video.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love 9 patches on point but I could never wrap my brain around It. Your version makes sense to me and it’s perfect for those blocks that aren’t a standard size. This week I’m making mini quilts for my Patrons and I wanted something simple but a little quirky and your tutorial is perfect for what I was thinking.

RsIslandCrafts - Robin thank you for the encouragement! Let me know how your quilts turn out :)
Your videos are great but when i do my 9 patch ing 2 1/2 when i put them together the edges are not even i do have 1/4 inch foot there on my machine and my sewing machine is one of the top lines i know and figure it must be me somehow I don’t know lol from Newfoundland Canada

Beverley Simmons there may be a slight difference in your quarter inch foot. Look up quarter inch vs Scant quarter inch... that may help
Thank you so much for the cheater page. Your KZread shoes are amazing!
2 years later lol what is the size of your 9 patch there
Hi she made a baby quilt using Pinkerton or Tula pink jellyroll I believe, does anyone know where the video is I can't find it, it was a baby girl quilt. 😫 and I believe it was quilt as you go
Most of my precuts measure from the point of the pinked edge, not the valley. Different manufacturers are different. My Kaffe jelly roll is oversized, like 2-3/4” wide. The best thing to do is measure your charm pack square or layer cake square first before you make any cuts. Btw, your camera is still having focus problems.
What is a
You need to invest in the proper ruler to demo this.
