@@hemaladevimanoharan9465 little late but the untamed, word of honor, love between fairy and devil are all pretty good, i also reccommend heaven officials blessing which is a donghua not a cdrama, but its got the feel and plot of a (bl) cdrama and its book was written by the same person as untamed

It's a good idea to learn this vocabulary first before you move on to the less common ones, because you will come across this vocabulary in most situations. This list includes some of the first vocabulary that native English-speaking children learn as they begin to learn to speak. You have to learn not only the meanings and pronunciation of these words but also how to spell and write them correctly. why are you giving tips for learning english on a video for learning chinese??? I don't get it..

Thank you food the grammar rule of third tones coming together bringing a change to the second tone for the first word. That makes pronunciations so much easier.

Keep at it Mark! I too had a Chinese partner and learned a lot from her about the culture and some of the language. Chinese as a spoken language is not so hard really for English speakers to learn if you keep practising and use it regularly. Start with simple words and phrases like Ni Hao/hello.. I think in some ways Chinese spoken language is a lot easier than many European languages because it's very flat and there's not much difficulty on pronunciation. The challenge with learning Chinese is mastering the Hanzi written Chinese characters!!! Made in China is about all I recognize lol. Ni Hao = Knee How! That's my trick. I Anglicise Chinese words and phrases in my head changing the phonetic sound and spelling which makes them easier to remember and use...xi = she..

Go to the mirror and think very serious and repeat the pronunciation as many as you can 👍

@@luissantos8061 Thanks for the advice, but I doubt that staring into a mirror will help. I've tried various techniques, such as Shadowing, but with little success. (If you heard me speak in Mandarin you would physically cringe. I sound that bad!)
