How many rows do you do prior to cleaning up the mortar joints with your jointing tool ?

I noticed that you work differently depending on which direction you are laying. This seems to deal with your level of ambidexterity

Ryan your the only one trying to show the shake shake form I wouldn't recommend that to newbies I would show the other couple ways to throw mud on the wall and a few different ways to furrow

It really doesn't matter. It's something even a beginner can practice and get good at. There is a first time for everything and the level of skill barely makes much difference once one does something effectively. I've never layed brick and the thought of this method doesn't at all intimidate me or seem difficult or too advanced
