BEFORE YOU BUY | Vivobarefoot Primus Lite 3’s All Weathers (full review)

Before you buy any Vivobarefoot Primus Lite 3’s All Weathers watch this full in depth review. I have had these shoes for 6 months and worn them pretty much every single day
These aren't my first pair of barefoot shoes nor my first pair of vivobarefoot primus lites but these have been my shoe of choice for the last 6 months. I wear them at work, I wear them in the gym (also work), and I also wear them around town.
As much as I love them I have had a few issues with this pair of vivobarefoot shoes. One of which I think I manged to solve in this video.
If you own a pair of vivobarefoot shoes or any barefoot shoes let me know in the comments below which ones and what you like about them, I love to nerd out on this stuff ha.

    The sole separating from the upper seems to be hit or miss with Vivo's. I have some pairs I've worn tons for 2 years+ and have no issue, but one other pair seems to be plagued by it. Fortunately it doesn't seem too common and I'm overall happy with the use and wear I get from my pairs.

    My all weather Primus trail 2 have both split at the toe bend area. I’ve only had them since May, I do walk 4 miles and workout in them 5 days a week. However for the price I’m very disappointed. The original Primus lites I had lasted nearly 3 years and only the soles eventually wore out.

    Hi! My only doubt is if they keep warm in the winter months. I always have cold feet.... I normally use very normal nike sneakers. Can these primus lite all weathers be compared to normal sneakers (nike, vans...) in terms of protection from the cold? Thank you!

  • @alexreader

    @alexreader

    Жыл бұрын

    Becuase they are super thin and flexible in all areas its pretty tough in the cold still even with these. Better than the normal primus lites but still cold. The tracker decons I find another step up in terms of warmth and having been wearing those through the winter, which has been mostly successful. Sometimes with thick socks. Hope that helps, maybe check out my tracker decon video they might be better!

    Have you had to fully clean them yet? I've had mine for approximately 1 month and worn them most days and have been really enjoying them but they are starting to smell a bit (likely to do with the warm weather we've been enjoying recently) - I think due the water resistant materials used, there's maybe not as much breathability as the regular versions.

    I’m thinking about getting these shoes but the durability is bothering me a bit after seeing you use Gorilla glue. Did the shoes come apart again? I think UHU Glue works good as well. I don’t know why VIVO doesn’t stitch the sole onto the upper for reinforcement. Perhaps it’s wise to make sure your toenails are cutback regularly and you wear silicone toe spacers to splay the toes better inside the shoe, which might help keep the toes from digging into the shoe material when walking or running, so they don’t fall apart. Great review!

  • @alexreader

    @alexreader

    That's exactly what I thought about the stitching. But they have started to do that with a couple of models like the tracker decons, one reason I really like those. But no they didn't come apart again 🥳

    I'm thinking of getting a pair to replace a worn pair of Kannas that I wore without socks in the summer for 3 years (I washed them often). They fit like a slipper. I got a lot of stick for the weird shape of them to start with but now I love them and they are becoming more "fashionable"! Hi i am buying the trail 2 FG all weather black colour. But i have read some reviews that after some time they develop cracks near the tip area. Do u have any idea? And my feet length is 27cm so should I go for 28.2cm length or 28.9 cm length?

  • @alexreader

    @alexreader

    Жыл бұрын

    @@marsstrucktraveller7277 is that these ones - tidd.ly/3CvBfoR? I've not experienced that on my primus lite all weathers and the upper looks very similar. But is that cracks in the outsole? I've also had the normal trail's with that FG sole and they lasted me a very long time! In terms of the sizing i'd think about when and what your going to be using them for, because you could probably go for either. If your wearing them in warmer conditions or to do exercise your feet are going to swell a bit. But if your wearing them in colder conditions where your not exercising maybe the smaller size might work. Also sock thickness might be something to think about. But overall seems the 29.9cm might be the better option.
