Love your videos. New subscriber but have a question. I’m working on sublimating tumblers that have the white coating. I’m selecting stainless steel tumbler but some darker images come out faded or discolored. Any suggestions?

The images should be showing up really nice on a stainless steel tumbler that has a white coating. You could be printing on the wrong side of the sublimation sheet or one setting is off on the SPM.

I just preordered this with the starter kit. I was unaware of the starter ink being a lower amount- approximately how may tshirt images will I get from the starter inks? I know you can’t give me an exact but any idea would be great! Thanks and love your videos!

It really depends on what you are printing, but we got 117 prints out of our starter Cyan cartridge before having to swap it out. This includes prints for different sublimation substrates using multiple sizes of papers and also includes test prints.

Hello. I'm new here. Is there a way now for SG500 to use all time chips (full every time). Can you point me to what works best now? It's been 3 years. Things have changed. I'm looking for the latest and best way to use cheaper ink. Thank you!

Can I use this to print on cotton t-shirts? Both white and colored?

What's the best thing for someone who bought an SG-1000 expecting it to work with an iPad pro directly? The printer arrived today and unfortunately my iPad is not compatible with it but all my designs are created on my iPad. I don't know what the next thing I can do is and I don't know how window applications work if I were to buy a cheap laptop I didn't even know that Windows had applications the way iPads do. I don't want to trade my iPad for a MacBook because the iPad is so much easier to create designs on

You can run the SG1000 off of a cheap laptop you pick up from a pawnshop or something. If you enjoy designing on your tablet, just save the file and transfer it to a computer. You can use a cloud service to transfer the files, or just connect the tablet to move the file directly, get a usb adapter for your ipad and save the file onto that, you can email the file and then download it, put the file in an app like teams or wire that you can use on your tablet, mobile, and desktop/laptop. You can’t use your sawgrass with a tablet?

Really frustrating using new SG500. Prints come off the printer very light and faded. Yes, I'm printing on the correct side of the paper. I've tried many different settings. I tried printing directly through PS too. Nothing seems to help with these prints. Not very happy with this new printer and apparently, from the comments on the SG forum, I'm not the only one having this problem by a long shot. Trying a few more things today but most likely going to return this thing.

The transfer print is always going to look faded. You won't see the final result until you press the transfer onto the substrate. You will also not get the correct colors if you don't send the image through the Sawgrass Print Manager before printing. For more support you can reach out to Support@USCutter.com but I would just go directly to Sawgrassink.com and open a ticket with them. That is what I do whenever I have an issue and they have techs in the US and UK.

Would this be able to do stickers and business cards?

If you wanted to make metal, plastic, or polyester business cards. But if you want to print on paper just get a normal inkjet or laser printer for much cheaper.

No. This is a CMYK sublimation printer.

Change the print settings to high quality in the SPM

Doesn't even show a garment being printed or the actual unit working at all. Why else would anyone want to watch this? They jsut cant read the instructions?
