Dang, never been this early. Excited for Black Swan, brother! EDIT: follow up comment after watching the vid... As a DOT ENJOYER from day 1... I'm 100% planning on running her with 2x or 3x DoT comps. My main team comps I'll be running will be one of 3... 1.) Kafka, Black Swan, DoT Filler/Breaker (like Luka), Sustain 2.) Kafka, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, Sustain and if I can get away with it... 3.) Kafka, Black Swan, DoT Filler/Breaker, Ruan Mei (sweaty and unreliable in MoC 11/12) I have my 4 piece relic set pretty much farmed out for her but still wanna work on getting the Pan Galactic Set (which I'll probably just craft, b/c fuck farming that SU world) Last thing I wanna mention, Smack. You say that Black Swan with one ult will get full value out of the Prisoner's set? Unless it's changed, Black Swan's ult just makes it so that her Arcana stacks count as *if* it were Fire, Bleed, Shock and Wind Sheer. I don't believe her ult makes it so all those DoTs are on the enemy so in reality if you are running Black Swan as a solo DoT unit, her DoT will only count as 1 DoT, so she'll need break effect DoTs to compensate if no other DoT unit. Again, it could of changed and maybe that's where you're getting your info from but from what I'm reading on honey it reads as thought the one DoT she has will be regarded as the aforementioned DoTs (for team synergy with other DoT units who can detonate their designated DoT)

ur totally right her arcana is only handlie a dot but it dosnt count as all dots at the same time its only one dot so hes team wont be that great better combine BS with kafka and another dot unit with at least a sustain unit so u get the most of it

Pan Galactic is such a good planar set on Black Swan... I used up all my modelling resin, and now I have to farm for it in World 5 (The Worst World in the Game) because of the stupid Crit DMG planar. Love the guide, Smack!

same boat here, sitting on 111% which is -5.4% dmg and wiggle room to miss Arcana/Sacrament doesn't feel great but when i look at the chest% sphere% and rope% i can cope (when i tell u they screwed me over with that chest piece tho i mean it)

Already done with my build S3 EotP 4pc prisoner/ 2pc pan-galactic ehr body/spd boots/atk orb/atk rope. Stats is 121 EHR / 3.3k atk / 141 spd

I'm still amazed looking at the video how can you get good relic with all the substats needed and then roll decent luck with the upgrade. Able to roll 130 something speed with substat of an attack boot is privilege i have yet to experience

His job, or at the very least his side hustle, is to make content for the game. If he isn't putting that ad revenue into getting better stuff to showcase he's at the very least putting in a lot of extra time to get these rolls that the average person probably wouldn't put in if they weren't getting paid. Gotta remember that even the most f2p content creators are not the average players of this game and most of them usually put in insane hours or have a paid account for the sake of being able to showcase content. So don't beat yourself up if you're not getting amazing stat rolls 24/7, most people aren't lol. This is just a guide to let you know if a piece is good or close to being good should you farm for it.

Also.. Before the Tutorial LC can consistently make her ult every 3T with Atk% rope + 40% EHR so for those who don't have Eyes of the Prey or don't want to use that on her.. you can use it instead

Staying strong for sparkle for sure But gl for black swan wanters(kafka still refused to come and out of jades currently in 68 pity)

Ive already got 2 really good space sealing stations relics with atk% orb and an er% rope will energy recharge be fine on black swan?

If youre skipping her light myself i would suggest farming for Hackerspace for future supports and current ones for speed tuning.

I'll be rocking Black Swan with speed boots for one reason I'll play her with Ruan Mei and PAYN Kafka, since Kafka needs that 160 spd to max out Glamoth (which is brain dead easy with RM and her LC) then I'll have get Black Swan even faster so I can immediately detonate her first DoT

I'll be running her on my Kafka team with Ruan Mei and Bailu/fire MC for now till i eventually get Huohuo to complete the team. I cant wait. I hope to get her and her light cone at early pity to save me money/having to grind so much. Im already guaranteed at around 50 pity but I'd rather not have to spend this time

I have been obsessively grinding the dot/follow up domain mostly trying to get a speed boot for Kafka. If only I’d kept more of the pieces instead of melting them to get an extra chance at getting that damn boot.

Pretty sure DMG dealt means DMG% bonus. Maybe you are thinking of "increases damage taken by enemy" like what Guinafen or Luka can apply which is a seperate multiplicative buff to DMG%. I think DMG% bonus is also always multiplicative too though? ATK% is the one that's additive. It's just that even a multiplicative buff can have diminishing returns when you stack it to an insane amount.

how much speed do you need in order to going twice with ruan mei skill?

So I'm farming for sets, and I have my "current" sampo at around 160% EHR at 131 speed before Ruan Mei boost, (143 after the 9.7% increase) at 3k HP and 3k Atk. Is the EHR TOO much at this point? (I'm using S5 Eyes of prey). What would be TOO much EHR?

I'm in the gang that was/is obsessively grinding the follow up cavern since release, so I've a pretty solid build which puts me at 3.4k atk, 150 spd, 122% ehr. however, I'm using space sealing station that I had lying around (with 11% ehr) so I'm not sure if I should farm the hell out of glamoth or craft pan comic? no ruan mei, or worse, no kafka lol

Is 121 spd enough for her? I'm using atk% boots and I have about 130% ehr( not that accurate since luka has ehr in his traces). Or should I chance it to spd boots?

I kinda hate that for every new dps everyone says use the quantum set.

Saw her LC will be giving like 40% EHR at superimposition 1. So getting at least 120% probably won’t be too much of an issue if willing to go for it and get good stat rolls on relics.

Dot damage break shields or only hp?

Does her Arcana count as 4 separate dots? I thought it counts as 1 dot but considered as ws,shock,bleed, and burn. So in order to get max effect of prisoner set u either need one more dot character, kafka's signature lc, or break effect dot. Or am i missing something here?

So i think her ult only makes arcana count as the 4 "types" of dot but it' still considered as one "stack" of dot. If it counts as 4 stack of dots, then i'm a happy man

So I have eyes of prey at S2 (Lv 80) and that gets me to 121.4% Effect Hit Rate, without gives me 96.4%. I am able to get ' it's Showtime' at S5 but I have only 1043 Lucent Afterglow. So not sure if it is worth it to get S5 'it's showtime '. Should I keep 'eyes of prey' or not?( Im asking because I hear that 'it's showtime' is really good, but I don't know if it's worth it)

The extra 10% EHR is still valuable for her technique proc (helps with applying the 3rd arcana stack to be precise) and against bosses with 40% EHR, but not a necessity. Use whichever set has better subs.

Can someone tell me at what point elemental damage bonus is too much that it shows diminishing returns ?? you need 3diferent source of DOTs (dosn't need to be diferent element), windsheer stacks just count as a 1 dot no mather how much stack you have

saw some E0 blackswan f2p leak demo not final but they use her armor hit rate rather than attack % still hit high dot damage hard.. what smack said we need hit rate to maintain her debuffing to enemy.. target

When you say she gets the full 18% from prisoners after her ult is that because her arcana counts as burn/shock/wind shear/bleed with epiphany or is it something else? If so im pretty surprised that her ult makes her arcana count as 5 total dots/debuffs, thats kinda wild.

I have the relics and it ended in 150% EHR. If I switch the EHR body for ATK body with at least 10% EHR as substats, I will reach the 120% EHR. But the chance for Arcana is pretty low and I'm unsure if I should try to guarantee the Arcana on every hit or go for more damage.

Nah 120% is all you need. Arcana has 65% base chance. 120% will ensure you apply Arcana on roll and max dmg gain from trace.

@@Kspice9000 Yeah, Arcana have 65% base chance, as Sampo's talent and Yanqing's freezing chance on talent, which is totally guaranteed on any enemy only at 157% EHR as far as I can remember. So 120% won't guarantee it on every enemy, although probably would against most of it.

Just a reminder that Sampo has a lot of effect hit rate traces so don’t slap on relics from Sampo and expect Black Swan to have the same EHR you might need a bit more

@@czjns I don’t know what you are talking about but the the person’s question was will she work with Dr. Ratio since they don’t have Kafka. The answer is yes. I also don’t have Kafka or like Kafka aesthetically and I’m pairing Black Swan with Ratio. She has an AOE defense shred on her skill and puts 3 debuffs on the enemy. She is literally an upgraded pela for Dr. Ratio.

All her dmg hits as wind so definitely wind. Atk is ok but wind will increase all her dmg vs percentage modifier. Without it your looking at x+y for dmg when you could have (x+y)z

Since you have Ruan mei who gives basically permanent damage bonus with her skill plus you’re running glamoth on Blackswan which gives extra damage bonuse pluss Blackswan giving herself a huge amount of damage bonus I suggest attack orb.

I don't wanna flex (lol, I'm cappin) but I got 120 without EHR robes. 15-16 on each of my helm, gloves and chest, then booots and planar have another 15 between them. It's not THAT hard, it basically just looks like any crit dps' critDMG stats. I'm running speed boots with atk orb and rope. I only have +8 speed + the 25 from boots tbf, but she'll get speed buffed by Huohuo and RM too.

I can’t do good maths but would s5 BTTS or s5 eye of prey does more dmg overtime

The basics of elemental bonus and attack% is that you get both in equal amount for max damage output. Since with Ruan, you get 68 DB, and swan herself gains 72 from her kit. That's 140% DB already. To balance it out, you usually need the same in attack% as well, but since you aren't even using atk body, that means your only main atk% source is rope. Assuming hands are approx. 25% Atk, that brings your atk% to about 68%. If you use wind bonus goblet, you are looking at 68% Atk and 180+% elemental bonus. Not optimal at all. You need attack goblet for best results. Multiplicative doesn't mean it's always beneficial to stack the same stat and it'll give you the best results. For example. 100 x 1.68 x 2.83 = 475 (68 Atk, 183 DB) But 100 x 2.11 x 2.4 = 506 (111 Atk, 140 DB).

Multiplicative does not mean there are no diminishing returns, it just means that it will reach diminishing returns less quickly than ATK% given equal amounts. So when you give tons and tons of DMG% to a character the additive bonus of ATK% can start to take priority in the balance you want to achieve. This is because the attack stat is what is being multiplied by DMG% in the first place. If Attack was really low, you would just be multiplying a low amount by a high number (like 2 x 8 = 16) rather than getting the full value of that multiplier with a more balanced attack value like (5x5=25). Idk if that makes any sense to you but that's the easiest way I can explain it with that simplified overly simplified math. Just know they both have diminishing returns but it's easier to reach those diminishing returns for ATK% which is why DMG% is usually better, but not always better if you happen to have a ton of it from base kit and outside buffs.

please help me decide between black swan or sparkle, i cant decide because i technicaly need both of them, i have kafka so it makes sense why i would choose her, but the best buffer i have is bronya because i unfortunately couldnt get ruan mei, so sparkle would help with team building, further more one of my main teams right now is mono quantum, which consists of silver wolf, fu xuan, lyn and qq, in know sparkle would buff qq by ungodly amounts, but then again the mono quantum team is already built to a good standars while my kafka team is actually trash, i judt dont know who to pick

Bronya + 4 star buffer is really enough. There is no need for another one at the moment. Focus on fixing your account instead of collecting more characters that are just a better version of what you have, If Black Swan can fix your useless DOT team, then just go with her

I am kinda torn between Black Swan and Sparkles. I like them both and I do have Kafka and IL. I want to build a team around those two units because I enjoy their gameplay, however with the upcoming unit. I really can't decide.

@@zerovking7629 She 'can' work but she shines in DHIL/QQ teams. Far from the best Harmony unit in Dual DPS, Follow Up, and Hypercarry. But she can be substituted so I guess that makes her somewhat universal, just not BiS for a few teams.

Not as bad as 130 break effect for ice chick lol. I'm .6 off from 130 when buffs are applied.

Not "necessary", but they will make eachother way stronger when paired together especially for Black Swan since Kafka can detonate her DoT's. I have seen many saying Black Swan's personal damage should be good even without Kafka which I think is prob true, but she won't reach her full potential without Kafka.
