The guy made a single mistake, and even then, this “mistake” depends on the country, the morals of each person, and the period… In France, there are plenty of guys aged 25-30 with 17-year-old girls, and it doesn’t bother anyone. But as soon as it’s on social media, there’s a huge uproar. Why? Do we even know the content of these messages and how the girl reacted? Apparently, her parents didn’t file a complaint, so it must not be very serious. All this fuss for that. If people put as much effort into punishing and tracking real pedophiles, there might be fewer of them.

Was investigated, no wrongdoing found, and Twitch wanted to cover face. So they paid out the contract with an NDA stating he cannot discuss that Twitch was the reason. If he had talked in an inappropriate way, he would have never been paid his contract, and would be in jail as we speak, as he was investigated by many sources. It's not illegal to talk to a minor, it's illegal to do so in a sexual way. So clearly he did not say anything that bad. stand with doc. People make mistakes and can change. The severity of what he did was the least of what it could've been. I'm not justifying or defending what he did. The DrDisrespect situation should be a warning to everyone, there’s some things you do,mistake or not, that no amount of good overshadows. he didn't make that point in his tweet and anyone would absolutely defend themselves on this point if they actually didn't know it was a minor. Only thing you might say he defended himself on is on how explicit or inappropiate the messages were, nothing else. If he's willing to defend himself on that point, then I'm assuming he knew it was a minor he was talking with. And you gotta remember, he was 35 at that point with a wife and kid.

The crime isnt any different whether hes a single 23 year old or a single 73 year old. And there are tons of people with wives and kids that commit crime. We’re human beings. We make mistakes. I’m not defending doc or saying what he did was acceptable, because it’s certainly not. But human beings are flawed and we fuck up from time to time. Literally I’m mourning the loss of this guy. These things are always so emotionally complicated, I think that in history there’s a lot of great men who have had problems just like this, actually way worse. Look at guys like Thomas Jefferson. In a prior century this wouldn’t even be a problem. But these days it is a problem, and I am 100% on board with that. I hope his family and him can find peace after this but I can’t continue to support this guy. Wordle will never be the same for me. I’ll be quoting the doc out of context for the rest of my life. Guy is an amazing performer, a very hard worker, and very entertaining. I know he’s been trying to be a better man for the last few years, but I can’t explain myself or lower my standards for the sake of entertainment. I have a ton of empathy for what he must be going through, there’s nothing he can really do about this. Maybe he could talk about the therapy he’s been through and what he’s learned about why he was acting like that. A lot of women and men on twitch are appealing to minors in an inappropriate way. It’d be nice to have someone who scraped the iceberg talk out against this stuff, who better than someone who failed at being a good role model.
