@@unprecedentedtimes6514 I've trained hundreds of dogs over forty years, and you nailed it! Once a dog is capable of recognizing it's name (around forty nine days), I would start obedience training. My bird dogs, I started training before their eyes were opened, by socializing them to duck, pheasant, goose wings, and shed antlers, etc., As soon as their eyes were open, they were ready to play! By the time they were twenty weeks old, they were ready to work afield, and they worked and handled better than a lot of senior dogs in their class. That XL Bully would be an awesome dog to see fully trained. What a beautiful animal!

It's the same fundamentals as raising a child. Gotta set boundaries and rules from very very young. Every bully I've ever had I made sure I was the only one feeding her and from weeks old house trained leash training with walking aside me or behind me never In front pulling me. Sit,down, roll over. No leash training and many more commands. Only way to have a well rounded dog or child is from A young age. Absolutely love Pitts there so loyal and gentle.

We purchased her w/breeding rights so I can build myself a lil pack and never have to be w/o again. I wish I could see your puppies! I already know when we have puppies, it's gonna be very hard to decide which 1 to keep... Yes, they are very protective and that's exactly why we chose Boerboel over a Canoe Corso. I enjoy camping alone in remote places and have had some frightening encounters w/drunk rednecks in the Mts. Last summer 6 of em harrassed me and I just had my Sr dog at the time... We're also are building a small farm on our property. They make me feel very safe. Our all black female is very intimidating at such a young age and very protective already. Couldn't ask for better companion! God bless you and your babies and may your puppies all find great forever homes!🤟🏽🖤🤟🏽

That’s what I thought was crazy with my bully XL, you end up with this oversized puppy running around destroying everything just playing. He would use my couch like it was a half pipe and slam it up against the wall!!! I thought he was going to send it through the wall one day. When a 8 month bully xl gets the zoomies you better watch out because he don’t realize he’s a mammoth yet. I had him run into me outside because I was behind him and he turned to run the other way not seeing me. He took me completely off my feet without even having any space to gain any speed. They are just that powerful!! And I am 300lbs!! He has been the most gentle dog I e ever owned with the exception of his oversized zoomies. When he starts his zoomies I hide behind a corner so he can’t run into me.

My husband has talked for a couple years now about getting an XL bully. I've told him no, because there's no way I could ever control one. About 5 months ago we took in a 2 year old red nose pitbull from a neighbor who is now a nice, healthy 65 lbs. He spends all day every day with me because I work from home and is very much a mama's boy. He had *no* training whatsoever and has endless amounts of energy but I've made tremendous progress with him. We're getting him into formal training now that he's less reactive around strangers (it was a big problem early on), and lately my husband has been saying, "I'm just worried that if another dog came at the two of you, you wouldn't be able to control Jasper. He's a lot of dog." All talk of getting an XL has absolutely stopped now that he's seeing day in and day out the kind of power a *regular* pitty has.

Yeah your husband is right. I work at a shelter and have had to grab a hold of reactive dogs and have broken up a bad fight. It is so scary and difficult when it involves strong breeds. If something does happen apply direct pressure to the front of the throat to release a bite. If you cant try to call for help.

If you don't know how to handle a dog like this: don't get one. Do your research first. Every dog was bred for a purpose and each dog has different exercise, training, and mental stimulation needs. Large, dominant dog breeds need an owner who has experience with these types of breeds. They need a firm hand and an owner who sets rules and boundaries from a young age, or else you end up with a huge dog who thinks he's in charge of the house. These are working breeds who need a job to do and daily exercise and mental stimulation. They need owners who are willing to socialize them around dogs and people, they need an owner who will put in the training. Because puppies are not puppies forever. They grow into powerful, large dogs whom you must have control over, or else they can really do some damage. Not all dog breeds are the same. Not all breeds are easy to train. Some are stubborn. Some will challenge your authority many times as a growing puppy. Some need a firm hand and a dominant owner who can't back down when your dog challenges your authority. Most of the dog attacks that you see, are because of negligent owners. They don't do any research, don't train/socialize their dogs, and quite frankly shouldn't own a large, dominant dog that has the potential to become a news headline if left in the wrong owner's hands. Dog attacks would happen much less often if backyard breeders and shelters did their due diligence in placing these puppies to make sure they go to qualified homes. To owners who have done their research and are prepared and know what to expect. A big dog like this is an episode for disaster in the wrong hands. Some dogs are not for everyone. And are especially not for a first time dog owner/owners who have never owned a large, dominant dog.

I got a Pit Corso (Blue Nose PutxCane Corso Brindle). He is 13 months and 110 lbs and still growing. My last dog was American Bulldog Johnson Type and he was 140 lbs. Unfortunately a lot of the really big breeds, dont live as long.

I have one and it’s hands down the best dog I’ve ever owned. I’ve owned at least 10 different dog breeds in my life and nothing compares to the xl bully

Just got a XXL bully in April. He is a total sweetheart but strong as hell. I get a little nervous when is alone with my kids. He loves them and will go to no end to protect them. Just has me a little nervous with his size and what he could do if he got pissed off.

‘I get a little nervous.’ That voice in the back of your head is called instinct. All creatures with a sense of self preservation have evolved over millions of years to develop this instinct and in the wild it is the animals that have the greatest instincts that thrive and stand the greatest chance of living to a ripe age. To ignore that voice that tells you ‘this is dangerous, this could go wrong’ is very foolish. Especially when you’re doing it because the benefit is ‘wow look how tough and bad my dog looks!’ I hope nothing goes wrong but personally I think you’re an idiot to bring something like that into your house with kids. Dogs are animals at the end of the day and they all have a switch that once flicked will set them off. If the day comes that your dogs switch is flicked (and let’s not forget that this is a dog specifically bred for aggression so… it’s even more likely that switch will be flicked one day) how are you going to keep your family and friends safe? Play stupid games, win stupid prizes…

@@johnnyfreespeech5815 My Banjo would stand up for my girls before me. That is 100% why I got him. He shadows them everywhere. You would have to be one crazy mofo to come up to my kiddos when they are walking him.

My lil pup is about 50 pounds, a year old and she pulls me. A 210 pound grown man. I don't think I could do the XL 😂😂

If she's pulling then you need to starts training and learn leash skills because pulling is much can cause injury and also sets the stage for a dog that does whatever it wants. Also make sure to not wrap the leash around your hand because your hand can it broken that way. I hope you a your pup do well.

My dog adapted to me the first 2 weeks I got him! Tip is to spoil them and train while they are being spoiled.
