The Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad provides a dinner train service with class. This is a two hour and fifteen minute ride through the Des Moines River Valley with equipment once used on the Union Pacific Railroad's streamlined "City of Los Angeles" and "City of San Francisco." Of course, with GMD FP9A 6540 powering the train puts the cherry on top of this impressive set.
Shortly after the runs with steam locomotive 8419, we did a mini chase with the dinner train during the late afternoon as it made its way east back to Boone...
