BEFORE becoming a Instacart Shopper, I wish I knew these things...
When I was a new Instacart shopper, there was a lot to learn. As a Instacart Shopper in Canada who has done a number of orders, if I was informed on some Instacart shopping tips, I think it would of helped me achieve more and faster. I do a lot of Instacart shopping at Costco so I have some good tips for there. To me there is no special Instacart shopping hacks but there is a lot we can learn. I have made a series of Instacart shopping tutorials on this channel to better assist with Instacart deliveries and now I am sharing some Instacart tips to help you get those Instacart batches completed faster. For those wondering. I am a Instacart shopper in Montreal and I have making content and being part of this gig economy in Canada doing some gig work.

Instacart hides the tip amounts from each customer in batches until you accept it. I took a 2 batch order and the customer zeroed the tip and added double the items!! Instacart should have customer ratings just as they have shopper ratings.

I just started doing Instacart last month in September of this year. I wanted to mention that doing the multiple orders where you are shopping for more than 1 person is not that great if one of the customers expects to get their order at a specific time. I wish Instacart could take this into account. For example if I shop for 2 people 1 person is ok with receiving their order asap where the other needs it at say 3:00pm on the dot, however the customer who needs it asap will add more to their order making it impossible for that second shopper to get their order on time. This here deducts tips which sucks.

Very good pointer, I wonder if in the future Instacart will take these things into consideration but to be honest, I doubt it.

I never seen a time limit on orders all I’ve seen is due asap
@justanotherblackqueen2017
Жыл бұрын
There is no time limit except a goal time for shopping but there is an expected drop off time after you checkout the customers order where it will state the time the customer wants it by and then if the time passes the expected time that customer wanted it then it will just state ‘ASAP’
One important tip is to take shot of the batch price and tip before accepting!! Also after completeing the batches have shot from the payment in detail . Then check the payment detail after a day or 2 . I have noticed that insta keeps removing the bumps the agents add as adjustments ، they Also reduce the batch price and always When you complain they blame the customer for deducting their tip even though the customer has increased the tip . Read the detail s. Your payments are being stolen. Specially if you are doing too many batches they add them together and you wont notice it if you dont keep Your shots .

I'm still new (only a gold cart) shopper, but most of the orders that I get as offers are def less than $20 for the most part. Also, I keep getting online orders (I think orders that are though the grocery store site and not instacart) where the customer doesn't have the ability to rate & I don't have the ability to do replacements, so how do I get 5 star ratings when I'm not even getting offers that would allow it? Is there a way to opt out of online shopping orders that don't allow customer ratings?

My biggest question, how does payment work, with the instal art payment card, online or physical. What is this pin I hear about? Do you have to tell the cashier it’s an onstacart order? Does the card work like a credit/debit card? And can I use self checkouts?
@DashWithAshinCanada

So when they give you the card, you activate it on the app ( i made a video on how to do that ) with that you use it at the store, you can go digital payment but I never have. You can use self check out or with the cashier either way. If they set you up with the new payment method, the app will show you at the check out a new pin every time, if not it's the same pin every time that you can find in your app on the video I made about it. Feel free to check my Instacart tutorial playlist :)

So the thermal bag, can you not buy it at checkout, in most stores?
@DashWithAshinCanada
6 ай бұрын
The clients don't pay for our thermal bags. If you do food deliveries (like restaurant deliveries) that's what I mean by thermal bags. We pay for those and keep those. We don't buy a new one for every Instacart batch or order. We reuse ours but at the cash you buy the small bags for check out like the $0.25-$0.33 bags to put the items in since you're not going to put the items directly on the floor with nothing but pavement
