BEFORE AND AFTER MY MORPHEUS 8 TREATMENT

Фильм және анимация

MORPHEUS8 with @dralexisgranite
As promised and much overdue here is the video all about my three Morpheus8 Radiofrequency Microneedling treatments @skinesis - in this video I show you the treatment, the close up of the needles, the right afters, the recovery pictures and then my before and afters .... I will be honest with you and say that over the six months since my last treatment I didn't think I noticed much lift but I did notice an improvement in my skin texture - however the before and afters of my jowls beg to differ. What do you think are you tempted to try it. As Dr Granite says this treatment is best done in conjunction with a little neuromodulator/muscle relaxation injections and maybe even some filler afterwards if you have volume loss (this, I suspect is what gave Judy Murray those great results). For me it was about glow/improvement in texture and a subtle lift. I didn’t have the specific eye treatment but there is one. For the body what I wouldn't do to see the befores and afters of Kim K's tummy. For more information on Morheus8 look at @inmodeaesthetics the manufacturer of the machine. Prices start at around £2,000 for three treatments in the UK, more in large city centres like London, so it is not cheap. However I have kept it real here and shown my skin completely unfiltered for the entire video - ps on that note how much has my chest recovered naturally from the IPL hammering (I was shocked to see the shots from last late summer). Thank to my bestie for filming for treatment for me.
AD info this treatment was gifted in return for an honest review

In Before and After clinical photography, consistent lighting and photo angles are of the utmost importance for fair comparison. For photography evaluating skin texture and laxity, we prefer for patients to be bare faced, without contour or foundation in both the before and after shots. The lighting appears significantly different. The After photos are warm and darker (more flattering) and the before photos are better lit and brighter / more stark (less flattering). Additionally it appears you might be wearing makeup, or at least some contouring? (Most evident on the 3/4 view). It is not uncommon for patients to have After photos when wearing makeup. Especially after rhinoplasty or facelift. And we generally do not insist that patients remove their makeup because they are coming in for a quick photo and check-up before going on with the rest of the day and it is a hassle for them. So I do not insist they take it off. However for skin treatments and cosmetic therapy where the changes are expected to be more subtle, for a fair comparison the face should be cleansed and bare.

As a photographer I totally agree that there is no similarity at all in the lighting for before and after. That’s a shame as I’d be really interested to see and to consider whether to embark upon the treatment. As viewers we can only rely upon consistent photography. 😔

So true. We actually have a video out about preventative botox and the only paper purporting to support it totally manipulated the lighting. You can tell by how dilated the eyes are. In our clinical studies, we use 3D imaging where the light source plays no role at all.

I have had three treatments of Morpheus eight and have seen amazing results. I am 55 years old. The nurse that does my treatments not only uses numbing cream, but also injects the skin to numb it even further. I have very little discomfort. She switches to a smaller tip with 10 needles to do the area around my eyes, including my upper lids and lower eyelids and in between my eyebrows. She also does my forehead with this tip and my nose. I love Morpheus 8!!!

I went to Vie Aesthetics in Holborn and was treated by Sophia who was/is amazing. I have a reasonably high pain threshold, which helps, but also trying to not move your face muscels helps with the pain (like any injection). Imagine having your face very quickly stapled - that's how it feels! I had my first treatment in November 23, my 2nd treatment last week and a friend commented "your skin looks flawless" - I'm 65. But don't waste your money doing this, if you're then going to go out in the sun without wearing SPF50 face cream.

I have had several Morpheus8 treatments and as a physician I think the process does perform well and the results are good. In my opinion, it seems that women have a higher pain threshold than men. Personally, I need infiltrated local anesthesia to have this procedure done. For me, after the anesthesia, there is slight discomfort. I suggest if you are at all pain sensitive ask to have infiltrated local anesthesia.

I am 54 and just completed my 2nd of 3 sessions. I’ve scheduled them about 5 weeks apart. My sessions are a bit different in that they are solely focused on lower jaw line and neck area. Both areas don’t have very much “padding” as the cheek area would. That being said, it’s not a pleasant experience in those areas (even with numbing 45 min- hour) but it’s also a very short experience. I’d say …15 min max for my total treatment area and that includes a couple of short breaks. It was recommended to me for making my “jowel line” into a jaw line again. And no more Turkey neck! I could see the most difference in my neck after just the 1st treatment. No topical treatment can really change that at this point in my life. Believe me, I’ve tried it all! On that note, if you do use retinol products, it is recommended that you stop using them a week before treatment begins. My provider also gives me a follow up treatment kit to use after the procedure.

As someone who has had RF Micro needling I am very happy with just my first one! Such improvement in the texture and I can feel my face is tighter. I also have minimal laxity to correct and I have taken care of my skin and eaten right for years, this is very important as well. The pain was bearable. The cost for face and neck in Edmonds Wa was 1450.00 for each treatment. I would rather pay this than have someone cut my face and peel back the skin from my muscle. I am also interested in aging gracefully not trying to look like I have had my skin pulled taught. It's a thumbs up from me.

While I do believe the results will be great because I trust my physician, no amount of coverup could camouflage the redness and weeping I am experiencing (not crying; skin seepage). In addition, I have been told many times over the years that I have a high tolerance for pain, having been through multiple orthopedic surgeries, and after my Morpheus8 treatment, my doctor said I “did great!” But I told him the treatment needs to come with a bullet and a bottle of whiskey because it hurts like hell.

The best treatments are ones that cause minimal inflammation. The more inflammation, the more likely the skin will degrade and sensitise. Some of these treatments are especially inflammatory, and the surface-level results are at the cost of inflammation rather than restorative and gentle skincare practices. For example, the long-term controlled use of specific actives and an anti-inflammatory lifestyle, etc., may be more effective at truly benefiting skin health.

Hi Nadine, I found it very uncomfortable, the worst pain I’ve ever experienced from a treatment! The neck/jaw is definitely the most painful. I required gas and air to get through my treatment. My physiological response to the pain was uncontrollable shaking, at which point I was sat up and dosed with lucozade! I’ve had one and my 2nd is next week and I’m dreading it tbh. But the gas and air will make it bearable. I was extremely swollen for several days (I’m talking hamster cheeks) and it took 3 weeks for all the redness to go. I was also quite itchy so took antihistamines. The pain POST procedure however was minimal. Much less discomfort than when I’ve just had simple micro needling alone. I personally do see a difference in your photos. No it isn’t facelift dramatic but it IS an improvement. X

I have had Secret RF, it looks good initially because the slight swelling plumps out the skin and I have noticed a difference in pore size and skin texture but now three months after with residual sweeping fully subsided, I would say fillers and Botox give more bang for your buck.

wife of M here ,i just had my 3 rd treatment. i can pigback off your comments. I was offered the nitric oxid ( laughing gas) with the numbing cream. guess im not as tough lol, I tried without and it was too painful. if Laughing gas is offered take it. I was extremely red for next 24 hrs . my 1st treatment, I broke out in huge white heads a around my lips and chin. My neck itched so bad by the 3rd day. 2 nd treatment had similar reactions. By the 3 rd week after the treatments I was back to normal. ( really only time im thankful i have to wear a mask at work, it hid all the pimple outbreaks). After my 2 nd treatment my beautician said my skin was glowing!! The pictures showed very min change after the 2nd treatment. i know this takes time , keeping my fingers crossed , here in US its about 1k per treatment , = 3k for the course of 3 treatments.

Wow you look great 👍 I would say it’s worth it if you can afford it and have good pain tolerance. Nadine, I have a question for you ! I suffer from bilateral trigeminal neuralgia, which I am on life long medication for. This was caused by an oral antra surgery with buccal flap advancement which means basically I had 🦷 taken out which left a hole from face to nasal passage which had to be fixed using my left cheek muscle thus causing the nerve damage on my face, head and neck ! What treatment would you advise, as I’m starting to notice on the side which I had surgery I’m starting to get a lot of fine lines around my left eye, more so under with puffiness. I’m trying all sorts of creams and serums plus I’m noticing first signs of jowl’s. I am 46 what would you suggest would be a treatment which would work without going this far ? Also on a budget of about £500 atm xx Thankyou xx

I don’t see a dramatic difference if you’ve completed the course, but you don’t really need this treatment in my opinion because you have good skin and always look lovely and lets face it most of us look better with a little makeup. I am only going to add that this treatment is very PAINFUL. My significant other is an anesthesiologist so I received the VIP treatment of being under anesthesia. However, he still complained that I was moving all over the place in my half asleep state because my pain tolerance is so low. So, it's free for me and with anesthesia ( he is a board certified anesthesiologist). I am not sure I can stomach any more additional treatment. That being said, I had it done on my face and belly. This really tighten and melt the fat for those of us who had children. Not sure how others can stand the pain or cost ...

She mostly did one pass all over face and neck and then a second pass in just some areas of neck and one or two places on face. Is that normal process? I had read about 2-3 passes overall.

I’m 33 years old but I’ve had about 5 sessions in the last year. I have to say, that I don’t have wrinkles nor jowl, but that’s why I’m doing it: to prevent. But man, this is the most painful procedure I’ve ever had and I would say that I have a pretty decent tolerance to pain. I always take a sedative plus a pain killer before going to my appointment, and there, they apply 3 layers of numbing cream, and still it hurts, I clasp my theeth and start shaking everytime. I’d say 9/10 pain. But for me is worth it.

  • @aeducator1

Hi Reina, this is really not going to prevent wrinkles or jowling. Here's the reason why: the skin structure is incredibly complex and integrated. This natural structure can't be reproduced by a wound healing response, which is what you are generating with RF or any thermal device.

@@aeducator1 Thank you! I mean, it is a relatively new procedure and many things are said. My husband is a PS and he says it helps because it stimulates collagen and elastin production. I guess I’ll just have to wait a couple more years to see if it worked or not 😜

I would say I can handle tons of pain. This treatment was soooo painful and I have bad scaring. I have two left. After one I don’t notice much of a difference. And it’s super expensive. If you get it definitely have an RN who does nerve blocks. There are 4 levels of depth. She obviously isn’t doing level 4… it is not like what she is showing. She is prob doing depth 1 and 2. I would say so far for as much pain as it was and how expensive don’t waste your time if you are doing it for bad acne scaring
