A dear old man I used to take out for drives from his nursing home was with me one Saturday afternoon as we drove along the water front in Adelaide S. Aust. As we watched, great cumulus clouds started came up over the horrison. As we watched, he commented " One day, we will be looking at the clouds, and there will be Jesus." I have never looked at the clouds in the same way since.

Heavenly Father, I pray for this gentleman and his wife. Please bring healing to the wife's mind and body. I pray that the help that this couple needs will come right away. Work through the doctors and give them the wisdom to know what to do to bring healing and comfort. Also, raise up a human service professional who is compassionate and caring enough to assist in finding the help that the wife needs. Give the husband strength and peace. Comfort him and let him know that You know and see all that's going on and it will be alright. You are God and You will take care of them. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I'm with you Tonya I had heard a lot about Max from our Sunday school teacher but never read his books or listen to him. I have always had a problem with prayer at least I thought I did. So when I saw the (Before Amen) The power of simple Prayer - Max Lucado I had to listen to it. Who knew prayer was so easy. I had been doing it right all along. In this time of our need (Corona Virus) We need to bow our heads and thank God for all he has done and ask for and cure of this virus.

This the first time I am hearing a Christian mention our Lady.I am Catholic and we pray to Mary to intercede for us infront of Jesus.I never heard him talk but he is so calming.we need this in this time of the terrible virus Corona virus 19.

This preacher helps me fall in love with Jesus every time I listen to him. I purchased 2 of his books yesterday. He's so real. Thank you Pastor Max.

Thank you Lord Jesus Christ. I just stumbled on this sermons last night. I’m blessed. This morning I listened to it again. How great is Thy Faithfulness Lord. I just counted my blessings over the years. Jesus is real, He answered prayers, once I prayed Jesus answered my prayers in matters if second. Once in a few weeks, and another one within ten years and the two recent one within a week. God Jesus Christ is real, He is alive, He is a merciful God a simple prayer with faith is enough for Him. He sees your heart. Thank you Max Lucado for the sermons. God blessed you and your ministry. I subscribed. Thank you Lord for your love, mercy and faithfulness.

Thank you so much for the message. It's so simple and doable yet powerful! I used to make prayers complicated by prayer list and templates and by some preliminary methods that didnt actually help much lately. I practiced what he taught, placing my core problem into my hands, and lifting them up in the air and releasing them, and there was a sense of brief peace I felt, that I don't have to carry my problems by myself any longer. Such a relief bought me to tears.

What a timely, practical, relevant word to the hearts of all who will believe and act on it. Thank you Lord for this message and the messenger. My heart is happy, so happy, with this reminder.🙌🏾

Just stumbled on this message today...I read several of his books years ago. These moments in listening to Max's message was God's will for my life. My brother, 67 yrs old in nursing home, is going through COVID-19. He has many compromised situations in his physical body and is mildly retarded. We (our Mom-94 yrs old, always his chief caregiver, my sister and I asked our brother not be told he had virus). Diagnoised 4/9/20 he was told by staff member of nursing home last week...I asked brother, why did you not talk about this with one of us? He said, I didn't want any of you to worry, especially Mother. I'm so thankful I was able to share this moment with Brother. God spoke to me again in love thru my Brother. God bless all.

My poor girls didnt no from one day to the next how my mood would b. But God has forgiven me and I had to learn to stop living under condemnation knowing God forgave me. You are a good mother I'm sure your human and We ALL make mistakes. Apologize to your kids and I know you will do your best to not hurt them again. Jesus loves you and so do I!!!!!!

Would love to join #prayfirst on twitter but don't see the ability to join the group! Am I doing something wrong? My favourite, shortest and most effective prayer is this: "Thank you God!" The 'trick' if you will here is the quicker you realize and verbalize gratitude, the more effective it becomes. I am one of those people I have struggled with prayer quite a bit and one day I just realized I don't need to be like others this very simple prayer of thanks at the right time is SO POWERFUL it is an amazing awareness to have. However, I also would like to be able to verbalize my gratitude more eloquently for my own sake! I am also looking for prayer suggestions for others loved ones and enemies who really could care less, because other than bless them I am not sure if I could possibly be more specific without overstepping 'boundaries', i.e. who am I to really know what they need and what would bless them.

What a relaxed talk, as if we were in the same room together, and the fire was flickering in the fireplace, and Max was sharing... just sharing. I had one of his books on a cruise, a book on prayer. I later learned that my room steward was sneaking in and taking pictures of certain pages so that she could read them when she got back to her room. Later, I just gave her the book. She was thrilled! Max, thanks for writing books I want to give away! (Joke... just kidding!).

Agree with you Virginia that discussions should be held for those believers who are homebound. What ministry is there within the church has been created to be of service to them. Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who established all the ends of the earth? What is His Name, And what is His Son’s Name, If you know it? 2. What does it mean when Scripture tells us to keep the Sabbath? Exo 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. 3. Who was born the 25th of December, and why do you celebrate it? 4. How do you get 3 days and 3 nights from Good Friday to Sunday? Mat 12:40 “For as Yonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so shall the Son of Aḏam be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Max Lucado said purgatory?? I hope that was a joke since true Christians know that purgatory does not exist. In the bible, Jesus spoke of only two places, heaven and hell, no mention of purgatory anywhere in the bible. The catholic church made that up to get money out of their people

As a retired pastor I have no ax to grind. Question: As a 501(c)3 "religious organization," whose "head" is the "state" and NOT the Lord Jesus, how can you do Jesus' will as a state religious "organization" along with Muslims etc. and not His body? If you are honest and check the LAW, your state charter removed Jesus Lordship and made your state the lord of Gateway. This is the ruling of the courts. Is tax exemption worth not having Jesus Lord of your assembly?
