I think you did the right thing. At the end of the day you have to do what's best for you and your family. Some of these companies like to try to draw you in with the big OTEs but when you discover that the culture sucks and nobody's coming close to quota...you realize that the juice ain't worth the squeeze.

Thank you! Yes true. The proper homework has to be done and the right questions have to be asked before accepting a job.
As a working wife and mom in tech, I can relate, and it's refreshing to see someone else talk about it from a similar perspective. I now treat the poaching from recruiters as an opportunity to network and find out more about their company, industry, culture, etc.
