They played almost 3 hours of intense music with very little rests between pieces. Incredible.

As I was listening to this, it suddenly hit me that Ashkenazy never, _ever,_ played a wrong note, in any of the live performances I’ve listened to, and there are a _lot_ of live performances out there! How is that even possible??? His technique is so great that he appears to be able to focus all of his mental energy on what he wants to say in his music without ever having to think about the notes on the page! It’s absolutely incredible!!

Hats off to the Comfort and gracefulness and wonderfulness of　Ashkenazy’s performance

Lots of pianists have the technique to guarantee accuracy. Lots have the musicality to want to do so. Only a few have the ability to maintain the intense concentration necessary to keep it at 100% throughout a performance.

The most amazing concert I have ever heard: all 5 of Beethoven piano concertos played my Vladimir Ashkenazy at the height of his career. I saw him play live recently at the Noorda Theater at UVU.

Incredible artistry and stamina with precision! What an artist Ashkenazy is, without pretense and grimacing- a delight to our eyes and especially ears!

KDFC, the San Francisco Bay Area classical music station, plays relatively little Beethoven, considering he is by far the most popular composer in their listener surveys. (They seem to be playing to the masses for donations . . . not surprising.) I'm so glad I found this extraordinary set of masterworks performances. I listen several times a week.

Very impressive word salad and you confuse the active voice which requires a direct object (his presence elevates...what?) for the passive voice the syntax requires here (his presence is elevated)...but on the whole I agree: f*cking spectacular performance ❣️🤣🤣

Ashkenazy have volcano colorful piano sound for Beethoven concertos! Wilhelm Kempff and Emil Gilels has the most beautiful piano Sound for Beethoven concertos!
