A vocal masterpiece on an iconic Beethoven masterpiece. Faouzia was able to infuse her wonderful lyrical interpretation and intertwine it with Beethoven's.claasic composition. I like that she started with the piano intro but the piano changed the composition differently and she was able to put her own musical genius and artistry into this wonderful composition. I appreciate your expert breakdown and analysis and interpretation of Faouzia's innate ability to emote such wonderful vocal dynamics and technique to this truly fantastic video. The visual performance was magical and I like the 17th century costume and shoes she wore ! Just a piano and cello accompaniment ? I totally agree with you. I think this song is about Faouzia talking to her audience and this is who she is. She is a truly wonderful artist and it shines through in this masterful performance. She was able to incorporate so much into this song and her nuances, rifts and runs and vocal dynamics were her very best. I love that she can sing seamlessly through all her registers and sounds so so powerful yet so whimsical. Her Moroccan influence really adds so much to the ending ! She is truly melodic in her writing as you can see and it's so easy to listen to and so wonderful to witness. I want to thank you so much Beth for your tremendous interpretation and wonderful support of this wonderful artist. Keep posting my friend. You are so much appreciated onto KZread network ! Sending you so much love and thanks from Canada 👍🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️

Like you, Beth, I too consider this song to be about her relationship with her fans, even possibly some of her crazed fans. You can’t read the YT comment section for one of her songs without some fawns chiming in “you’re so musical”, “an artist”, “creative” or words to that effect. The reference to “play me like my name is Fur Elise” reflects fawns imploring her to do more emotional and melodic ballads or stripped versions of songs, while deploring her more “pop” efforts. And “lie to me” and tell me there are more emotional ballads on the way, say these fans, so please write more “twisted melodies” for me, they say. I think that, despite putting on a brave face and espousing strong-willed independence and self-confidence, Faouzia often struggles with self-doubt and tries hard to please everyone… and it weighs heavy on her.

The very first time I heard this live performance, I loved the whole thing, but a part of me was a little bit letdown, just a little, that she did that flip into a head mix. I was hoping she should do more of a belt, but I do know that it’s smart sometimes to do what is safer when you’re not quite ready to do a belt. I understand that, lol. I’m hoping that she experiments with belting that part in her live performances.
