Love the performance. The USA 7th Armored Division selected this as their theme song during WW2. They went deep into Germany. Cheers!

Well, I was confused. What was 'my' 1977 - 78 "Eye" Corps from Korea doing in Germany? I guess the better question is who / why built a Bavarian village in Washington state?

This looses the fundamental style of the polka - typically the melody of a polka will be placed in the upper woodwinds including alto and tennor saxophones depending upon preferences for doubling chords. The reason why is one of the distingishing features is that the melody tends to move 16 to the bar on the syncopated upbeats, especially within the 3rd wriiten quarter note of the bar, where fast scale runs are not the particularly strong suite of the brass section.
