Have you done Stayin Alive or You Should be Dancing, or Love You Inside out by The Bee Gees…Just a few other many! And they wrote ALL their songs as well as writing for other artist ( Barbra Streisand, Deion Warwick, Kenny Rogers/Dolly Partons, Diana Ross just to name a few. They considered themselves songwriters first, and performers 2nd. Also, check out the songs they wrote for & background vocals for their youngest brother, Andy Gibb, whose first 3 releases all hit #1. Unfortunately, only Barry is still alive today and still married to his wife for over 50 years!

The Bee Gee fans who followed them in the 60s are aware of Robin’s beautiful voice. Barry’s voice is secondary. Robin made you feel every emotion there is to feel. Great example, “I Can’t See Nobody”. Although, I think Maurice really stands out in this song.

They grew up on Australian Bandstand. The first time I saw him Barry the eldest with the Bass was about 16 with his guitar and the twins looked like little boys. Robin was cheeky and out there and Maurice was shy. They all had great voices and these three were all prolific song writers. I think you would be surprised if you knew how many famous people had hits with their songs. I loved Robin singing the most and he never got many solo’s. I Started A Joke and Massachusetts are beautiful. Maurice or Mo was a brilliant musician. Barry was great but he carried on way too long with the falsetto from the Disco days. I just looked at your list and The Bee Gees are the only Australian’s you have listened to? One day you will have to listen to our Legend. Tonight they played his Documentary on TV before it goes to DVD and they told us he was also cleared today from the cancer in his jaw bone. He is loved and many prayers have been said. It was a good day and we are Blessed.

I love this song so, so much! Bee Gee's had quite the career. They had a younger brother too named Andy Gibb. He had a solo career . He looks and sounds like a younger version of Barry. He was quite a bit younger than them so that's why he wasn't part of the group. He passed away in 1988 at the age of 30. I bawled! Andy was my young girl crush! I had pisters all over my room of him. He had some great hits too written by his brothers. Great reaction!! Much love! ✌🏻❣️

I was lucky to live as a teenager when this group had its second act going into the Disco era and they just ruled the airwaves at that time. It was so easy to take these guys for granted because they were just a hit machine. Now nearly 50 years later, we can look back and to appreciate each nuance of their songs and performances and can look at the totality of their entire career and it is so hard to find a favorite because once you listen to another song, that one just pulls at the heart. This is a group that is unmatched in their craft of performance and song-writing.

You said you were feeling The Bee Gees but I don’t see anymore reactions of them from you. Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb were fantastic for over 5 decades ! You can find video of them from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000s! They also had another brother who had a solo career because he was so much younger than they were (Andy Gibb). I have some of his recommendations below too. Here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: (Just disregard the ones you’ve already reacted to! Too Much Heaven (R&B) How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard) Staying Alive (disco) Night Fever (disco) You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco) Fanny be tender with my love (R&B) Jive Talking (R&B) Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk) Tragedy (Techno? Pop) More than a woman (Disco/R&B) Love you inside out (Funk/pop) To love somebody (R&B) Massachusetts (pop/country) Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special) Alone (pop) Love So Right (R&B) Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour) Lonely Days (pop) You Win Again (pop) Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B) Kiss of Life (rock) One (pop) Wedding Day (pop) Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country) Bodyguard (R&B) Blue Island - live (pop) Our Love, Don't Throw it all away-Bee Gee's or Andy's version (pop) Secret Love (pop) This is Where I Came in (live) (pop) The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor) If you want to see them (the Bee Gees) and how they work in the studio try: (A) the making of their song "Tragedy" from 1979 (B) The making of the song "Just in Case" (C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001 Some that only the avid Bee Gee fans might know that you might want to react to: My Lover’s Prayer (pop ballard) Letting Go (pop ballard) Subway (R&B) You Stepped Into My life (Funk/r&b) Children of the World (pop) Search, Find (pop or R&B) Songs written by Barry Gibb (that other artists sung), alone or with his brothers (Robin &!Maurice Gibb): If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman) Woman in Love ( Barbra Streisand). In fact, Gibb wrote every song on her Guilty CD, and did 2 duets with her. And he did most of the background vocals on a lot of the songs. Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Partons). In fact, Barry wrote all the songs on Kenny's "Eyes that See in the Dark" CD Heartbreaker (Deion Warwick). In fact, Barry wrote every song on this CD too. The Bee Gees also did the Background vocals. Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) and yes, Barry wrote all the songs on this CD too. Barry also did the background vocals. Immortality (Celine Dion) The Bee Gees also sung background. The live 1997 from Vegas is excellent! More Than a Woman (Tavares) Love Me (Yvonne Elliman) Come on Over (Olivia Newton John) Emotions (Samantha Sang, with a lot of background vocals with Barry). Destiny's Child also recorded it. Grease--from the movie (Frankie Valli) Heart Beating in Time (Leo Sayer) Let me wake up in your arms (Lulu), who use to be married to Maurice Gibb A lot of Andy Gibb songs (Shadow Dancing, Everlasting Love, Love is Thicker than Water, Our Love, Don't Throw It Away; Desire;)

I hope you review them!!❤❤❤ I love Maurice's funky basslines. Mo is very talented. Robin and Barry often sing in unison so it is hard to separate their voices singing the lead. This song had many tracks in the studio. So you'll hear Barry singing falsetto over his lower voice. It has so many tracks that they rarely perform this one live because of this.

The Bee Gees not only had the best harmonies. Their vocal ranges were phenomenal, they also wrote lyrics that sounded like poetry. Please react to LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT, thank you for your super reaction. ❤❤❤

so amazing your thoughts 🔥of the lyrics that is rare in all these reaction videos who great their poetry was - nobody writes this kind of lyrics anymore, another great song in this arrangement is Wish You we Here (Poem for his young died brother Andy Gibb) and for sure Desire from Andy Gibb - Barrys wrotes this tune for him - absolutely stellar ✨

You're right, Maurice is able to let his bass talk. Sayin' so is pretty nice! Your favorite lyricline ('Cause it's all that I've got and my love wont forsake me') is mainly sung by Barry, bringin' in his powerful voiceability). Quincy Jones called this track the best R&B song, ever comin' to his ears.

This is the song (according to Maurice) that Quincy Jones told him was one of his favorite R&B songs. Jones also attempted to produce a cover of it, but gave it up because it was too difficult (maybe impossible?) to improve on the original. This song belongs in a seminal voice / music course , it is that masterful and complex. The brothers are singing some parts live to a back track of multiple layers of vocals because it would have been impossible to do them all live simultaneously. They're great, but not superhuman. Maurice has said they never sang the song live but for the official video because "it was a bitch to sing." Maurice is the twin in the pink shirt playing bass. Barry plays rhythm guitar. Maurice's the instrumental talent and anchor at orchestration of the trio. AND he provides the critical third harmony to produce their trademark Bee Gee sound. His well-chronicled problems with alcohol addiction had affected his dependability at the studio and sometimes at concerts during the 70's and 80's, until he successfully gained sobriety in early 1990's through AA. Maurice and his family were always up front talking about his battle, and he continued to attend AA meetings until his death in Jan. 2003, a tragic death too young at 53.

Thanks so much for your channel and your recent posts. Ironically I applaud the last two songs I’ve seen you react to as I was hoping for more Billy Joel, and Bee Gees. Keep it up! Eventually you may get down the rabbit hole to Barry and his twin brothers Robin and Maurice’s little brother Andy who had a hit career of his own in the late 70s and early 80s.

They many great songs. Check out "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart", from the early 70s. Then "Closer than Close " and "One" from 20 years later.
