We called that tape "F-4 tape" back in the day. That and safety wire is what held the Phantoms together.

This is the first time that I've come across a flight video where I have seen the actual work done on a plane. Usually, it's a scenario where I'm going from A to B to get some work on the aircraft, watch the flight, and that's it. This has been so enjoyable and refreshing. That you very much for sharing.

I’m having the Aspen Pro Max 2000 installed in my Bonanza. It will have the AOA, SVT and ADSB with audio traffic call outs. Look forward to the AOA flight calibration video.

So much fun to fly with you. Your narration is excellent and your enjoyment of flying comes through clearly. And the avionics tech’s narration was nice also. On the avionics side, I’ve had good experiences and not so good. My current panel upgrade was in the “not so good” category 😠🙁

Nothing beats a competent avionics guy! I believe the tatoos give them away... I upgraded today too! Garmin. But my logged time was 3 hours. Oh well!

Thank you for taking the time and effort to record and post these videos, they've been a great way to pass Lockdown and its aftermath. It was very interesting to get a glimpse "beneath the hood" so to speak. When is the flight test video up? Also, is it possible to explain the functions of the new PFD for us 'old timers' who learned to fly with a clockwork panel? I recognise some but the rest are all Dutch-Greek to me!

Any autopilot adjustment necessary?

Definitely very curious about your feedback on the Aspen Pro 1000 Max PFD upgrade. I have the Pro 1000 PFD in my Piper Dakota and thought about making the upgrade but my local shop actually discouraged it saying they had a lot of issues with it. Maybe I need to talk to Sarasota Avionics directly and plan an upgrade next time I am down that way - especially if it only takes a few hours for the upgrade...

@@davidkadish2048 That’s what I would have done instead of replacing it with another ProMax PFD, get rid of all analog steam gauges. That’ll save a lot of weight too. G3X has tons of features I like.
