This song was released in 1978, the year I met my husband. We raised our kids on '60s, '70s, '80s music because that is what we listen to. Our daughter has also said she was born in the wrong era. I'm enjoying seeing your reaction to the Bee Gees.

I’m 70 now loved them then...and love hearing them now

It's so enjoyable watching younger generations discovering and appreciating music that I grew up with. I was only 10 when this came out but old enough to remember those times. I used to think 1975-1990 was special because it was my era but have come to realize that it was just a great time for music in general. Thankfully back then I didn't take it for granted. I enjoyed every minute of it.

I have fun watching this. Now for about a year all those channels when young ppl try to discover music. But i have doubts if they really understand what they listening to. You can't say to musicians that are legends and sold milions and milions of records worldwide and changed lifes of milion ppl for more than 50 years, that they are talented... LOL. U can say that maybe to some young band that made their first record... but not to true legends of music. They young ppl don't really realize it.

I was very lucky since I got to grow up on music like this. The late 70s and 80s had lots of good bands like this one, but nobody could hit notes like Barry could.

I LOVE your channel and reviews!. I was fortunate to have been born in 1969, and my childhood was the 70's-80's. American Radio was incredible...there was pop, dance, R&B, guitar rock, folk, jazz...and all of it crossed racial/cultural lines. I vividly recall the stack of 8-tracks in our home... Commodores, Fleetwood Mac, Doobie Brothers, America, Gladys Knight &Pips, Simon & Garfunkel, Miles Davis, Cream, Eagles, Beatles, Linda Ronstadt, and The Manhattans. Diversity IS achievable by shining light on our common assets, rather than our divisive differences. Feels like the flower children of 1969 were onto something that we gave up on too soon.

The Bee Gees wrote BEAUTIFUL lyrics! They wrote love songs that never used oversexualized or disrespectful words. They really understood LOVE as different from lust. Barry, the man in the middle, has been married to his wife Linda for 50 years on Sept 1st, the other two brothers are twins and have passed away. They was an even younger brother Andy, who had a solo career but sadly passed years ago at 30yo. The Bee Gees donated this song to UNICEF and it had raised 7 million dollars. They wrote a lot of hits for other artists "Islands in the Stream" by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton :Guilty" and "A Woman In Love" by Barbra Streisand "Chain Reaction" by Diana Ross "Immortality" by Celine Dion "Rest Your Love on Me" By Olivia Newton-John And MANY MORE!

What you said about the music of the 70's and 80's is so true. I've introduced several young co workers to the music of my youth and they all say just what you did, " Damn, I was born at the wrong time, these songs are amazing". Great thing is you can still enjoy them today!

I was born in 1951 and was in my twenties when this came out in 1978. I liked this song and everything the Bee Gees did. I think I didnt realize how great they were till I started watching people reacting to their music. So glad you appreciate them. The Bee Gees started their group in 1958, known as Brothers Gibb, or Bee Gees. Their brother, Andy Gibb, was also a singer. He was younger than Barry, Robin, and Maurice.

This video was recorded in 1978, they have been performing since 1957. I've always been a fan of them they really established themselves with the John Travolta movie Stayin Alive. On a more somber note I must give a lot of credit to Barry (the one in the middle with the great hair.) because his brothers are all in heaven. The youngest brother Andy died a few years before this video. Get some good sleep Andy, Maurice, Robin........look after your big brother.

Well, the years have gone by for me!! I was a young teenager starting to listen to them, & wow, continued to listen for years!! - YES!!!

1950's to 1980's was the best music era IMO. We who grew up in these years were blessed with great music that is still enjoyed in 2020! Amazing.
