The smoothness, richness, flow and precision comes from years of singing/performing since they were children..... The Bee Gees are solid platinum.

Angels.... Have listened to this song since 1978.

No gimmicks, no auto tune which wasn't even invented in the 70s and no pitch correction. Just pure voices harmonizing with an orchestra recording a song in one take. Barry discovered his falsetto by accident. You will never hear another group like the Bee Gees. Barry the oldest and lead is the only surviving member. Maurice on the left of Barry died in 2003 and Robin died in 2012. Their music is timeless and was the music of my era. I'm 69 and I never tire of listening to their beautiful voices in anything they've recorded.

I've heard this song a million times....I'm 63 and I still grin like you do! ;) I looove them!

Barry lead, Robin on the right and Maurice in black on the left. Absolute legends. I grew up in UK listening to them and i think they are our Proudest export. Im now in my mid 50s and still cant get enough of their music. They had a younger brother Andy Gibb. R.I.P Maurice, Robin and Andy.

'How Deep Is Your Love', and 'Nights On Broadway' are good examples of their lower voices. Nights On Broadway is the first song they used their high falsettos in, but Barry comes in low and strong...a rockin' tune! And 'Alone' is another super high falsetto masterpiece...a must for Bee Gees listeners!

I loved your reaction to this. You said they make it look so effortless. But, any guy who sings in "falsetto" voice will tell you that it is difficult to maintain clarity and tone at the upper range. Barry Gibb is in my opinion, the greatest falsetto voice ever! The BeeGees were one of a kind. I don't think you will ever find a group like them ever again. Enjoy their music and keep spreading these wonderful 70s tunes among your peers. That's the best way to keep this music alive.

Timeless. It’s been years since I heard this and it gives me chills now just as it did when I was a youngster in the late 70’s. The only bad thing is I’ll now be listening to this for months straight 😁. It’s great to see others still loving it.

I took the BeeGees for granted back in the late 70s when I was in high school. I played their songs on my tiny transistor radio that I kept in my school bag when I was walking home from school. The Bee Gees were everywhere, on every radio station (remember radios?). I no longer take them for granted because when I see how touched you are by this song, I am very grateful for the BeeGees and their hard work and perfect finesse.

All these years later and the Gibb brothers still make the ladies melt,

As a young man when this was released.. It was SO hard not be jealous of Barry... I even wore the exact same style and length blow-wave hairdo as him until the mid-90s 😂 He was the one guy that every woman wanted and every man wanted to be. Over the years I've settled for quiet admiration 😂

@@PoquitoFlava Harder rockers started to tire of disco and put it down as not real rock. There was a "Disco Demolition" protest at the White Sox stadium which was so bad that the 2nd game of the doubleheader was forfeited to the Detroit Tigers. It's hard to understand out of context.

The BeeGees had perfect noses.Besides the voices their noses showed that they were brothers.Their eyes also looked alike.Robin and Barry had great hair.Maurice had alopecia but he had great style and was so cute. Love the BeeGees.R.I.P.Andy, Maurice" and Robin. Carry on Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb.

His brother Andy died on March 10 1988 ,I miss him

The group the Bee Gees were brother's. All 3 brother's have falsetto range which made them that more talented. The Bee Gees have been recording as a group since the early 60's. The group became even more popular in the 70's. Their music could easily stand up today in rotation on any R&B or Soft Rock Radio station. Sadly Barry Gibb the lead singer is the only brother still alive. The youngest brother Andy Gibb not in the group, but a great solo artist in his own right passed away first. Maurice Gibb passed away then Robin Gibb passed away leaving only Barry.

I can remember dressing like Travolta in the disco era. I was a 10th grader. The song takes me way back. and helps me recall who the ladies were in my life at that time. I wanna be 17 again.

This is just the scratch on the surface...You can go back to the late 60s and early 70s with To Love Somebody and How Can You Mend A Broken Heart to Nights on Broadway and listen to the progression as it happened all through the 70s and 80s and on. and it never ends it seems and they wrote mostly all originals...

Barry Gibbs the oldest and the one in the middle, did most of the lead singing. His two brother’s Robyn on left and Maurice on right are twins and 3yrs younger than Barry. There was one younger brother Andy Gibbs who had a solo career which later he joined the brothers group later. He was with them for about 8months until he passed away. They wrote all the songs for the movie Saturday Night Fever which starred John Travolta. That album with the same name Saturday Night Fever went in to be one of the best selling albums ever.

Andy never joined the Bee Gees! He would occasionally join them on stage but was never part of the group. The 4 brothers did write songs together. Andy died at 30. What a sad day that was! As a teen, I had Andy's pictures all over my walls😁 I was lucky enough to see the Bee Gees in concert in 1979. I still listen to at least one of their songs a day.

Professionally known as 'The Bee Gees.' The Bee Gees personified the (1) Maurice (on the right ..not a lot of hair- pronounced Morris) passed away in 2003. To make a long story short, while on his way to surgery for his intestines, he had a heart attack, yet the doctors operated anyway. (I heard Barry say this on a video.) He was in the hospital for only 2 days! I wished his vocal talents had been used at least once on every album. (2) Robin (on the left - long hair) fraternal twin of Maurice, passed away 2012, after the diagnosis of cancer. He and Barry complimented each other when singing. (3) Andy, the youngest brother, who had his own successful career, died of inflammation of the muscles surrounding the heart. He passed in 1988, at the age of 30. Even though he was 12 years younger than Barry, they looked like twins. The 3 brothers were also married and had children. (4) Barry (in the middle) said, "I am the last man standing." Barry is the eldest of the brothers. On September 1, 2021, he and his wife, Linda will celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary, which will also be Barry's 75th birthday. They have 5 adult children, and 7 grandchildren. The Bee Gees have sold over 220 million records worldwide (probably more by now.) They were also writers for many other artists. Barry just completed a new project called 'Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook.' It is very nice! On a side note, their sister, Lesley, who is the first born, was 77 in January, 2021. She lives a quiet life with her family. They wrote all of their songs.
