I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the best falsetto voice ever, & what makes it so incredible, is that in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is very rare! Thank you so much for this, they were brothers, & Barry is the last one, but please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed, & they span over years, & crossed many genres 😍 I also believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤️❤️❤️

The Bee Gees were one of the most successfully commercial groups of all time. They were prolific song writers. Writing hundreds of songs not only for themselves but for many famous artists. The Bee Gees held diffrent records for consecutive number one hits and longest hits at number one. The brothers had the best falsetto's. No auto tune! Great hair. Barry was every girls dream. Those were the days when songs were sung to girls, not at girls. Music and lyrics had true meaning. No need for overt gratuitous gestures or language. Just great writing, great vocals and great performances from 4 great brothers. RIP Robin, Maurice, Andy

In March 1978, the Bee Gees held the top two positions on the US charts with "Night Fever" and "Stayin' Alive", the first time this had happened since the Beatles. On the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for 25 March 1978, three songs were in the top 3 were Gibb compositions, five songs in total written by the Gibbs were in the US top 10 at the same time: #1. "Night Fever", #2. "Stayin' Alive", #3. "Emotion" and #6. "Love Is Thicker Than Water", #9."If I Can't Have You". Not since April 1964, when the Beatles had all five of the top five American singles, had anyone else achieved this feat.

He is a prolific song writer and has written songs for , to name a few... Diana Ross, Kenny Rogers, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand---in fact Barry and her Wong a Grammy for a duet they did one one of his songs " guilty".

It's like they invented harmony. Live band, no auto tune, no computerized voice enhancement and one mic for all three of them. Back then (1979). singing was just pure, raw talent. By the date of this recording, the BeeGees had already been singing together professionally for 21 years when Barry was 12 years old and the twins were just 9. All of the Gibb brothers including little brother, Andy, could sing in that amazing falsetto voice. But Barry was the master. He was able to exorcise more control over it. The Gibbs were, in my opinion, the most multi-talented families in music history. They wrote their own songs as well as writing songs for many other musical greats. This song was included on a compilation album to benefit UNICEF. There were many artists who recorded songs on the album, but the BeeGees gave all the royalties from this song in any form. In, at that time, an unprecedented move, they also gave UNICEF the publishing rights to Too Much Heaven. To date, Too Much Heaven has raised over 11 million dollars for UNICEF. In 1967, they wrote a song called To Love Somebody which appeared on their third album titled BeeGees 1st, but their first internationally, as the first two albums were only released in Australia. BeeGees 1st was released in July '67. Otis Redding was set to record To Love Somebody on his next album. Sadly, Otis was killed in a plane crash, Dec 10,1967. I thought for the longest time that they didn't record it themselves until after the death of Otis Redding. Their brother Andy Gibb had a very successful solo career as well until his death on March 10,1988. Just 5 days after turning 30. Andy had developed myocarditis, inflammation of the heart, which was brought on by a viral infection While most people recover from myocarditis, Andy's body was unable to fight the infection due to his history of drug use. Soo sad!

  • @LOVE2BTHEONE

The group the Bee Gees were brother's. All 3 brother's have falsetto range which made them that more talented. The Bee Gees have been recording as a group since the early 60's. The group became even more popular in the 70's. Their music could easily stand up today in rotation on any R&B or Soft Rock Radio station. Sadly Barry Gibb the lead singer is the only brother still alive. The youngest brother Andy Gibb not in the group, but a great solo artist in his own right passed away first. Maurice Gibb passed away then Robin Gibb passed away leaving only Barry.
