Urad daal ki poori or Bedmi poori
Bedmi Puri's are irresistible. Urad dal add extra flavor to the conventional Puri. The puffy pooris are made with wheat flour, urad dal and spices. It is also known as bedai poori or Urad dal poori in many parts of North India. Morning time halwai used to make this delicious Bedmi poori and aloo ki tari wali sabzi in every part of Gwalior, Mathura ,Agra and many more other places . It's a killer combination. People of these region love this breakfast. It's a traditional indian breakfast recipe from ages.
What ingredients I used to make this:
1/2 cup whole wheat flour ( Atta)
1/2 cup soaked urad daal ( split black gram )
2 tbs fresh coriander leaves
1 tsp nigella seeds ( you can use carom seeds )
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
2 pinch of asafoetida
2 green chillies
1 tsp cumin
2 tbs oil
Salt as per taste
Oil for deep frying
