its not really ugly really... i think its really cute, like a sheep. it was cute when the dog sat in that lady's lap.

I will never have a different breed of dog in my home. They are highly affectionate, sweet to guests and have adorable personalities.

Bedlingtons are great dogs. We had one, Bo Peep, when I was growing up. She was the world's friendliest dog and loved everyone. They're not ugly, but they have to be groomed professionally or they'll look like poodles. If you can find a Bedlington, you should get one.

This is the perfect breed for active singles, outdoorsy types and families with older children. They are very athletic, playful, clean, bold and strong dogs.

I work at a palace in England and one of these came to me on our front gate with a visitor, my heart literally melted, so soft, so loveable.

How cuuuuuuute!! I have a bedlington terrior called Mikey he doesn't look much like some of the dogs! He is still a puppy but he is still really cute! I must admit he has to be one of the stupidist dogs alive!

I owned a beautiful Bedlington years ago. Now, I have a Patterdale (Black Fell terrier) named Tarn. Bedlingtons will always be one of my favorite breeds.....mine was a total charmer, and never had a bad mood a single day in his life.

Maybe your beddy was dropped on his head? Just teasing, My dog is smart as a whip...only dog that was ahead of him in the brains department were my dobies. And as far as working lines...well, not a lot of need for a poaching dog these days...or pit fighting. My terrier is quite game though..put the chase on the Australian cattle dog a couple of times..and he was no pushover! Love bedlington terriers... great family dogs! Thinking of adding another to the family!

Ther are more than a couple of breeders in the USA. Most states have reputable breeders.

@TabithaParker Bedlingtons are very wonderful dogs with personality. I do very much recommending one and if you do decide to get one, you will love having one!!!

my dog just sits on my lap all day, and shes everyones best friend, wierdly though she seems more reluctant to follow groups of girls than groups of boys. would you believe her and 5 others were found tied to a bin at 9 months old, and she was the only one who survive, i dont understand why though, shes such an affectionate dog, and wouldnt hurt a fly.

i used to raise these for my foster parents. they are wonderful dogs, and they are lap dog, but they have a penchant for being vicious. My breeding female chewed through a chain link fence and killed my three cockers, and there wasn't a drop of blood anywhere. The males tried to help her, but where to big to get through the hole she'd made.

In this video the dogs are relaxed and relating to each other, not being under control by the owner. This breed is happy and gentle pets .. and they are very willing to learn from as young as 6 to 8 weeks. My boys join family gatherings, children and toddlers poke and squeal and the dogs just roll onto their backs and love the attention.
