Becoming A Researcher: Your Step-by-step Ultimate Guide!

Listen to my new podcasts: podcasts.apple.com/nz/podcast...
This video is geared towards those that are learning how to become a researcher. Here are the steps that you often need to become a researcher.
Identify the fields that you find interesting.
Identify which one is likely going to be the most profitable for you.
Identify the education that you need to get to the field.
Ask yourself if you can do research in another way that is less costly.
Ask other people in the field how they would approach this problem.
Work towards the bare minimum and see if you like that field.
Repeat.

David Maslach is a research professor of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business strategy, I discuss topics, such as behavioral science, strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and apply these to my new peer proofreading and editing platform. Topics include the sharing economy, altruism, investing in technology, starting a business, and bounded rationality. My favorite videos pertain to incentives, goal setting, and learning from failure to drive behaviors such as weight loss, stopping telemarketers, creating novel technologies, and creating new movements.
r3ciprocity.com: Peer proofreading and editing platform
A new platform where you can earn credits by editing other people's documents. Use these credits to have your own work edited. If you do a good enough job, you can convert these credits to money.
The goal of the platform is to get people to 'pay it forward' and help other people out by creating incentives for people to give back.

I had a professor recommend I research professors in surrounding colleges; a lot of professors are researchers, too. She told me to look at their research (google their profile with the college they're teaching at), find someone who's doing something you're interested in, and reach out to them through their publicly provided school email. She said to ask these people if they're hiring technicians or how you can get involved, and echoed the idea shared by him here that a lot of people will actually answer.

    1) what is it that you find interesting? 2)is it going to be profitable? Is it a demand for it? How many people want it? 3)what is the best education to start. The bare minimum 4)start as a side gig. Research on the side. WRITE volunteer. 5)Ask people that are already in the field. How do you get there? 6)focus on how you can get in the field with the less effort. 7) repeat to get into the next stage

Do you really just have to be in your 20's or 30's??? what about being an educator for over 20 years and finding a second career in mid 40s?

Why would you start out by saying this career is for someone in their 20s or their 30s? Are you seriously telling me that a 60 year old person couldn't do this as a WFH career?
