Yeah so the volume settings got super screwed up and the games audio is louder than me for a bit. It sucks, but just remember that there's a lot of great things that also suck. Like Kirby :)

I just 100% Sea of stars yesterday and it fueled my pixelated style games need so I'm onto octopath now hahaha. I love the oldish style with pixels and low frames to relax and enjoy sometimes.

I’m really gonna miss the pixel art of the old game, as well as the dash arcana, but this still looks like it’ll be a ton of fun! Can’t wait!

Wizard of legend when you new to it will definitely have that feeling of "The wizard needs food... BADLY!" Looking forward to seeing this come out later, this is gonna be great.

It's so nice it is back, one of best games in genre, which never got enough attention. Not biggest fun of new artstyle, first one had a certain charm. And can't help but notice, that dash arcana is gone. But it is small price to pay Edit: Also, who is this Hieronymus, NPCs speak of? Where is Sura? Is he safe, is he alright?

Now this reminds me way more of hades (art style, arena setups) than i would have thought. which is not a bad thing. i hope for a hugeeeee variety in magic and builds. let me do all kinds of crazy magic shit!

Been waiting on this day tbh, you got me into Wizard of Legend. Sunk about 30 hours into the full experience so this was extremely pleasant to see. Thanks Beelz, you’ve got my 4AM sleepless nights covered.

I realize the strong attacks that the boss/mini boss do have a red flash right before the hit. Dodging right after the flash should do the trick

we are getting a Wizard of Legend 2 thats really a bit of surprised from a combo rouguelike game to have its own story the art style and graphics looks really attractive.

Man, Wizard of Legend is my jam, and I'm so happy the sequel looks so good!

Me every time you went to the trader: "SMASH. UP. THE. SHOP. COME ON!!" Also, Wizard of Legend was described in one review as the best Avatar game out there, and honestly, yeah. It is. You can really feel like a bender in a fast-paced combat. This game, juts from what I'm seeing in this review, feels the same. I haven't looked to closely at this particular element, but, I hope they keep the different martial arts strikes for the different attacks.

I think the pixel art was way better in my opinion but this new design isn't bad either it looks alright the combat still looks the same which is what I enjoyed from the first one so I'll probably get it.

Just the look and feel of this is so hype! I recently played the first on PlayStation and tho some things weren't great, the combat and bosses were so much fun to grind through. This looks incredible

I'm here after watching the other Lizard of Wegends vids and finding out Beelz did a Q&A back in the days while King destroyed bosses Beelz, why not do another one with info about yourself and how life is/has been going? The other one was mostly about games and anime, but I think everyone here wants to know the human Beelz too, along with the gamer one

I jusr saw this game and it really has a strong hades feelling. Very nice, seems like I would love this game too.

about the bossfights in WoL 1, only the final boss had giga armor for phase 1... the bosses basicly had the pattern of attacking using various spells, going with a signature, and then stopping for a few seconds where you can go ham on them... you can still hit them as normal but its kinda difficult considering they fire off spells like mad while moving around the arena

This gives me inspiration to start a new save on Wizard of Legend 1 since I never got far in it at all even though I enjoyed it.

Game looks great. I'll have to wishlist this one. Thanks Beelz.

First game had a ton of cool stuff in it (and I really should go back and watch your videos on it, assuming they're on the channel) but my Souls-poisoned brain just COULD NOT stop trying to dash through things, and iirc that game had either very very minimal or no s on its dash. Looks like, for better or worse, this one is leaning fully into dashes for the combat. I expect a lot of people will be disappointed... But I'm happy as hell lmao. Looking forward to it!

The no I-frame thing is what turned me off the first game, despite loving the design and feel. Don't love how this looks, but hopefully it grows on me.

I'm a little disappointed with how so many indie devs are making their games more and more like Hades. Don't get me wrong, Hades was a phenomenal game, but there is more room in the genre for different combat systems. I think the first wizard of legend combat was unique, fast, and very well done. But this new iteration feels kinda samey to all the hades clones

Would it be awesome if combining certain elements create elemental reactions. You were using earth and wind, I was imagining the opportunity to create sandstorms.

Hmm. I thought it was slow at first. The new is about the stagger bar and dodge have somewhat dodge frame? I miss the old mechanic tho that you have to dodge bosses attack pattern until they rest and then you hit stagger them then combo :) this WoL could be more difficult because ya got to hit them while attacking to fill up those bar :) but let see and i welcoming this devs cooking

The first game is one of my favorites as well, the art style change is a little jarring but it is so god damn pretty, also voice acting, I’m so fucking excited Edit: finished the video after full completing the demo, the game is the same in so many ways and drastically different in others, everything you want to see in a sequel so far and this is just a demo

Reminds me of hades and curse of the dead god

I've seen a lot of people dissapointed from the demo, mainly because it's no longer pixel art, people compare it to Hades, it is no longer a rogue-like but rogue-lite and that the reason it sucks it's that because it's made by a different studio (that made Children of Morta mind you). I was afraid aswell when the first trailer dropped because of similiar reasons, but honestly? I spent 3 fu*king hours in the demo and I enjoyed it. I like that it's more linear than the first one where you had to explore the whole map. Also transition to 3D allows them to do animation for spells like the Earth kick signature that most probably wouldn't be possible in the first game. And for fuc* sake I finally have i-frames when I dodge and Atlas isn't annyoing piece of shi* (the Lightning guy still is tho). Game just needs same variety if not more than the first game, more interesting relics and some polish. It already has a great foundation they can build upon.

I'd argue the first one is still a roguelite because you were unlocking new spells and items that you could directly take with you into runs. Same with the cloaks. The shift in art style is definitely something that will rub some people the wrong way. But overall the combat still feels similar. If it were a complete overhaul I'd hate that.

They really revamped the artstyle, totally different look from the pixel vibe. Seems like they really wanted to upgrade just sbout everything

honestly, i don't like wol 2 as much as the first. the randomized starting relics and the removal of dash arcana is it a bit dubious.

Eh....dunno. I dont see wizard of legend here.More like curse of the dead gods/ravenswatch 2.0. Also camera feels waaaay too far. So far i'm very disappointed, game lost its identity.

Is anyone else disappointed with the bleaker tone of this game compared to the original? I feel like the constant death and prodding from the announcers is really disheartening and lacks the whimsy of the first title.
