Of course not! Mostly that I’ve noticed it’s not often on top of the priority list when thinking of which aspects of self to consciously develop if it’s competing with basic needs - the concept of Maslow’s hierarchy basically. Surely wasn’t for me when I was broke. Yet I’ve met many emotionally mature ghetto guys and many totally unaware academics / successful entrepreneurs 😄 Some are blessed with a healthy home that teaches these things even if money is tight, and some have been able to learn the lessons of tough experiences.
