Cooking Kenyan Food with My Boyfriend
☕ Support my work by buying me a cup of Kenyan tea: ko-fi.com/ainoluo
My Kenyan boyfriend taught me how to make traditional Kenyan food that his tribe, Luo, love to eat: fish and ugali! We also discuss his background of growing up in the ghetto, practice some Swahili sheng (slang) while I struggle with cooking my first ever ugali.

Thank you! 🥰
I cook "ugali" in a microwave oven (water : flour, approx 2 : 1), up to 10 min (more or less cooking time to attain preferred consistency) - delectable and effortlessly; downside: none yet.

Thank you for watching! ☺️ This fish was from a random kibanda and it was very yummy indeed. I’m still looking where to get fish that has grown in good conditions, preferably not farmed.
You are gonna get bulcky in one arm when cooking ugali 😂 never heard of it 😂 if it were as you say every kenyan would be bulky then... we just use the strong arm to cook.. and your swahili is dope... Nice video 👌🏿

@@ainoluo Seems Luo culture and language even though African, it rhymes with some aspects of Europeans! No wonder we call Kenyan Luos as Luopeans 😂
