@@MW713 I really Appreciate your kind words. I have an opportunity to do a "Citizens Police Academy" this coming up September. The Local P.D. Meets with it's applicants a few hours each week and give you mock shooting exercises, Meeting all the Higher-ups, (Which, I have already meet the Chief at my workplace before) Anyways, Thanks Bro! Next Year I Graduate and then off to College for a Criminal Justice Associates Degree! Thanks Dude!

FHP & Texas DPS are a great team.

It's disappointing that after 12 years in the military, I find that the entry fitness test for the Texas DPS is harder than any entry PT test for any branch of the military. I understand the need to have physically fit law enforcement officers, but the entry run time of 11:40 for 1.5 miles is absolutely unnecessary. Not everyone is that fast, but it does not mean they are not physically fit. Very disappointing.

Bud..11:40 for 1 1/2 miles is kinda slow if i’m being honest. That’s a run time for people mildly out of shape.

@D_Journey I don't live in a gym. Aside from that, I wasn't barely that fast in Basic Training or AIT when I was 15 years younger. Not everyone runs fast, even with conditioning. I was the only one in my platoon who gained muscle weight in basic training. Everyone else had fat to lose. Running isn't something everyone can do, just like I could do rope climbs, and even some of the fast runners couldn't do that. I recently did a spartan 5k, and it was a cake walk, it's not about being out of shape.

@International Oppa I did, It would've taken me more than 4 years and double the hours I work now to break even on income anyway. Plus, I don't have a boss. Blessing in disguise.

Whenever you talk with a Texas Law Enforcement agency officer that has exhibited, bravery, coolness under fire and other professional characteristics, be sure to add as a parting comment that they have been so professional in their dealings with you, that you just don't understand how they could still stand to be employed by one of the agencies that in 2022, together sent 400 of Texas' finest to a Uvalde, Texas elementary school where, with the intermittent sound of rifle shots ringing out, they stood around for 70 minutes unable to breech a single classroom door to aid a class full of scared, wounded 4th grade children and teachers. The result was 19 dead children and two dead teachers. You might suggest a State that you believe has competent Police agencies they could apply to. Good hearted professional officers who ARE capable of acting in good faith should not have to forever suffer the shame caused by the Cowardly Texas 400. The easiest solution to the Border problem may be to just give Texas back to Mexico, if they will take it.

All Troopers who responded to that shooting got discipline or are still waiting to receive it, Texas state troopers are taught through their academy to eliminate the threat or die trying even if your by yourself
