I don't know if it matters, but Willem Dafoe was originally going to be Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper's character) on "Blue Velvet". Wonder if it's a reference to that.

I see the theater side of Willem in this sketch. Just the way he entered into the scene and faced the audience.
I just love it when Pete Davidson plays characters that go from "yes darling, what shall I do make you happy?.." to "yeah nope, I know exactly what's going on, we should be the ones frightened"

There's also Aladdin: the Jason Sudeikis/Rosario Dawson one where they're unhappily married, the Adam Driver/Cecily Strong one where the magic carpet almost crashes, and the Pete Davidson/Kim Kardashian one that paralleled what it's like for a guy to date a Kardashian sister.

I was drinking a soda when he started that whole "don't look at me" routine and I almost died.
In awe of the legend that is Willem DaFoe. The guy is so versatile, and just iconic. His movies are tremendous too, AntiChrist is one of the most disturbing films I've ever seen.
He was the green goblin so I'm not surprised he's this crazy.
Never realized how voyeuristic Beast and the gang are. Damn.

To think the wardrobe department created all these intricate, detailed costumes from the movie….all for a 4 minute skit.
And just like that, we have Romania, again, in an SNL sketch. The castle showed at the begenning is Peleș Castle from Sinaia, Romania. Also, great job by Willem and Pete on this one. This episode is, maybe, in top 3 of this season.👍

He's just on a level that is scarcely ever seen by actors today. Also, Idk who wrote this but it is now one of my top 5 SNL skits. It felt like eating nothing but ramen noodles for 2 weeks, then having a steak dinner
