Value is indeed a personal thing. I usually don't buy advent calendars, because there are always products in there I don't use in the first place. If you see what is in it (I don't like surprises either) and there are three or four things you don't really like that much or wouldn't use, it's still a waste of money.

The glossybox advent calendar ($90 for members $100 for non members) is always worth it. Every year I add up the cost and its always like $300 worth of products, even when you take into account the mini sizes. One year there was a full size $100 face cream!

Big as in the videos are so well thought out, so many concepts that other people are not doing, so detailed, and exactly what I want in a beauty video. I think you had around 60k when I first subscribed, I'm not sure. It was near the end of 2019 and you definitely have had a positive effect of how I was viewing & using makeup. I had for sure caught in that "buy everything, never really use what you love" mentality- and when the pandemic hit it gave me a lot of time to discover what I liked vs. didn't like in my collection, and feel good when I finished something rather than feeling guilty or something that it was gone. I had already been cruelty free for 2 years before finding your channel, and it was nice to see someone supporting that (and you've given me a lot more brands to have on my radar!) Congrats on 100k that is such a wild number and you should absolutely enjoy it!

Thank you very much for doing this video. I recently had this same experience when trying to decide on which K-beauty advent calendar I wanted. In the end I ended up putting my own wish list together in total 36 items almost all full size and was less than $200.00 with free shipping to the US. Honestly it was the best way to go because every item I selected was specific to me Vs. the random choice of a box or calendar. Lastly.. I do feel the value is often substantially overinflated on most advent calendars.
