Actually the cloth that wearing by the dancers specially design for easily change colour while they were performing by putting clotch layers with different colour attached with the glue or (perekat) on the shoulder part, that could be easily pulled off when the colour was needed to change while performing.. They changed the color when they were bending over by pulling outer layer. If u watch carefully u can notice how they were changing the color especially the first row of the dancers

This dance is named Ratoh Jaroe. Etymologically, Ratoh Jaroe comes from the word "Ratoh" which means to say or talk and "Jaroe" which means finger. Thus, this dance has the meaning of reciting a poem or reciting a story accompanied by finger picking. The difference between the Ratoh Jaroe dance and the Saman dance: 1) Usually the Ratoh Jaroe dance, performed in groups by female dancers, is an even number (minimum 10 dancers) and there is no limit. Meanwhile, for male dancers, called the Saman dance (or better known overseas as the "thousand-handed dance") which is generally played by at least dozens or dozens of male dancers, the number must be an odd number and equally there are no limits. But sometimes, the Saman dance is also performed by female dancers 2) The central Saman dance is controlled by the middle dancer while Ratoh Jaroe is controlled by the poet who sits outside the formation of the dancers 3) The Saman dance uses the Gayo language while the Ratoh Jaroe dance uses the Acehnese language 4) Saman dance comes from the Gayo tribe whose territory is around the central part of Aceh province; while Ratoh Jaroe is a dance created by an Acehnese artist named Yusri Saleh in the 2000s 4) Saman Dance reflects education, religion, manners, heroism, cohesiveness and togetherness. Meanwhile, the Ratoh Jaroe dance is an interpretation of the spirit of Acehnese women who are known to be tough, strong and have courageous determination that has been known since ancient times. 5) Saman Dance does not use musical instruments as dance accompaniment but instead uses the voices of the dancers and their hand clapping which is a complement to the Saman Dance. Meanwhile, the Ratoh Jaroe dance is accompanied by a musical instrument called "Rapai", which is a musical instrument that looks like a tambourine, played by beating the drums. The equation: 1) Both of them really prioritize the cohesiveness and harmony of the hand movements of fellow dancers 2) Both of them dance in a sitting position by shaking their bodies left and right when the song lyrics are being sung
