Indonesia is one of the best country for me i been many city and they're always surprise me about view culture and food and the people are nice i love indonesia i never tired to get back again and again🇹🇭💓🇮🇩

In May this year,during the Tudong ritual,23 buddhist monk from Thailand walked accros the country to Borobudur.They walked two months to get there.They were very happy when they arrived there.Borobudur is huge. There is a mitos that if you can touch Buddha's head through the hole in the bell( you named it), you will get a very good life / good luck. It's really unbelievable. During the 9th century, they could build such kind of temple.Without machines or modern tools, the temple/structure looks so perfect.I couldn't imagine how they did it 🤔🤔

Even in Thailand, it has been stolen by collectors of antiques that are immensely valuable and can be sold to superpowers. Although Thailand is not a colony of any country, it can still be stolen as well.😔

if you like mountain climbing come to indonesia a lot of volcanoes , waterfalls and rivers hot water and tribes inland are still raw it will be amazing

As a domestican tourist I can confirm your curiosity about architecture from Prambanan and Borobudur was built in the past is really amazing. The rocks was not using any cement to connect every part. Just only rock meet a rock. Both of this temple was part of Javanese kingdom history. And Javanese tribe is number 1 populated in Indonesia following by Sundanese Bataknese, Malayanese . As Sundanese we have another Building was established during prehistorical era like pyramid in Egypt called "Situs Gunung Padang"😮. Hope you will react this in the future.❤

Borobudur is for Buddhist prayers while Prambanan is for Hinduism. There are 6 religions in Indonesia, Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism. And all harmonious without any conflict. Because we are protected in the country of Indonesia and that difference is contained in the Indonesian state symbol, namely the Garuda bird which reads Bhineka Tunggal Ika, although different, but one.

Fyi ..dimasa awal masuknya Islam ke tanah Jawa salah satu peristiwa penting-nya adalah masuknya ulama ahli ruqyah yang diperintahkan oleh pemerintah kekaisaran Ottoman di Turki yang merupakan ulama dari Maroko yaitu syeh Subakir (yang merqyah / memasang tumbal istilah kala itu) di gunung merapi..yang kemudian terjemahan penggalan surat alhasr selalu dibaca Mbah Marijan ketika gunung bereaksi /menjelang erupsi..yang kemudian dikenal dengan "kidung Kacer"..pelafalan "Al Hasr" dalam lidah Jawa jadi "Kacer"..demikian sekilas sejarah hubungan pulau Jawa dengan ottoman empire (sumber dari Gus muwafiq dalam sebuah kajiannya)

1) Borobudur Temple Borobudur is the largest Buddhist temple in the world, estimated to be around 12 centuries old, located in Borobudur District, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province. This temple has a height of more than 35 meters and an area of 15,000 square meters Built on the orders of King Samaratungga of the Syailendra Dynasty, the Ancient Mataram Kingdom in 824 AD and completed during the time of Queen Pramudawardhani, 825 AD In 1991, UNESCO recognized and designated Borobudur Temple as a world cultural heritage site. 2) Prambanan Temple It is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia. This temple, which is also known as Rara Jonggrang, is dedicated to Trimurti - the 3 main Hindu Gods - namely Lord Brahma as the creator God, Lord Vishnu as the guardian God and Lord Shiva as the God of destruction. It is strongly suspected that it was built around the middle of the 9th century AD by King Balitung Maha Sambu from the Sanjaya Wangsa Kingdom. This assumption is based on the contents of the Syiwagrha Inscription (in Sanskrit, Syiwagrha means "Shiva's House") which was found around Prambanan and is currently kept in the National Museum in Jakarta. This inscription dated 778 Saka (856 AD), was written during the reign of Rakai Pikatan. Prambanan Temple is also a UNESCO world heritage site and at the same time one of the most beautiful and grandest temples in Southeast Asia

in the inside of every Stupa (you said it is like the Bell) we find the Buddha statue in there, that's why the number of this statue are alot

my village is located not so far from the Borobudur temple building and there are many leftover rocks from Hindu buildings built in the 8th century. Thx. Btw, Borobudur's not abandoned but burried cause of mountain Merapi ( 10 Century ). Magelang ( my hometown ) ia surounded by mountains and hills, that so holly in Hindu and Buddha. So there're many temples built.

My grandparents are Buddhist and are always in Borobudur if they are Wesak Day. But we are a Muslim family. Even though we have different religions, we all still get along well. It is common in Indonesia in a family of different religions and remain peaceful. Because our country teaches Harmony and peace between God's creatures wherever they are

Lagian siapa bilang setelah dakwah Sheikh Subakir utusan Sultan Al Fatih, kemudian Indonesia setelah itu jd negara mayoritas muslimnya ? Jauh sebelum kedatangan Sheikh Subakir di akhir abad ke 14, Islam sdh mulai berkembang dibbrp wilayah nusantara khususnya wilayah Sumatera. Krn Sumatera adalah pintu gerbang pertama kali Islam mulai tersebar diwilayah nusantara yakni tepatnya diwilayah Barus Tapanuli Tengah Sumatera Utara pd abad 8-9 masehi, bahkan pd abad ke 12 telah berdiri Kerajaan Islam pertama di Aceh yakni Samudera Pasai dgn salah 1 Sultannya yg paling terkenal yakni Sultan Iskandar Muda yg menguasai wilayah Sumatera hingga semenanjung Malaka.
