It’s a masterpiece of a song

This song is legitimately so goddamn beautiful and powerful. It's so crazy in 2023 people are tripping over same sex relations. They've existed since the beginning of recorded history. It's harmless love. I'll never understand it. I live in rural Wisconsin and we still got a lot of bigots around here and I just can't relate to that level of hate.

I appreciate your reaction to this song. It hurts me that some people have turned against Tyler because of this video. I'm from the next county over where he is from and he's married to a girl from my hometown so he's one of ours and we take prode in that. So it hurts that small minded people would turn on him over this. He wrote it about his cousin so I think it means a lot to him which makes it even worse. I love the beautiful words of this song and the message in the video too. He said he wanted his cousin to be able to see a video on CMT he could relate to. That warms my heart.

Your view is beautiful! If you can’t see this video and get past the that the “love” represented isn’t your view of what love is supposed to be then you need to search your heart. The song is amazing and the story is what we all wish love could be in our lives. Love is love and may we all have this kind!

As a gay man I’m so thrilled with the representation in this video and when people read the Bible who did Jesus minister to the outcasts of society and if he was still on this earth don’t you you think the lgbtq plus community is who he’d be ministering too

Folks forget that he ministered and saved the outcasts of society because most of the religious leaders at the time rejected him.

The other day A guy at work made comment on this video he said the song was great and if you can get past it being about two guys it's a beautiful video. He'll never know what hearing that meant to me BTW he knows I'm gay. I made a point from day one to be open You can't black mail me or out me.

The people who bitch about this song's video, have never in their life spent so much as a nano-second listening to lyrics. It's a "turn my mind off" kind of thing for them, so they just attribute whatever beliefs they already hold to the song, regardless of whether the song ever actually stood for that belief or not. So of course they would bump those songs without question, then cry about Tyler Childer's song. They never listened to the song, they're just doing what they were told to do, because it's the current vogue trend of the Republican party. Be anti-woke because it's cool and we have catchy phrases, hate helping people despite the fact that you need help too, and thrive off of the unbridled rage and incessant need to see those unlike you killed, because it somehow validates YOUR existence.

It's a song about love. The love the video shows, is represented so beautifully that I wish people could get past their preconceived notions and prejudices to see how beautiful it is.
