I feel like i am finally ready to come and watch this backlog. I found Max on his individual channel while he was travelling Australia and struggling with Lee's departure. My heart hurts for her, i can see her soul is beautiful and pure. I'm looking forward to getting to know her through this channel. Thanks for keeping the videos up Max ❤

How much did the conversion cost. I want to save up for a van and convert it but i unsure about how much it will cost. I love your layout and would love to do something pretty similar to it. I found a lady who put a shower in one of her stand up full cabinets Id love to add. I really appreciate your videos. Thank you for sharing your story.

This is my GOAL! I love this so much. All the designs were/are very well thought out. Even the wood around the door handles is perfect. Again, love this!!!!!!!

Great job on the tour especially since this is just your second video. I've never seen a seat arrangement like yours...what a great idea...I can see why there's a battle to sit there! Thank you for your video. I have been watching sprinter conversion for years in search for layout inspiration. Your setup is closer to what I’m looking for and might just have a perfect balance of function. Having the bed in the middle is uncommon, but I think most functional! And I love how it’s not aesthetically complex but still super clean, open and cozy with soooo much storage. You guys just brought me that much closer to actually doing this! I’ve watched A LOT of van builds and I gotta say I love yours a lot. I like the rustic feel and it doesn’t look cluttered with “stuff” Nice nice job. I’m from the USA but living in Switzerland. Van dwelling here is not easy I’m sure because we have to pay for each parking space and a lot of spaces are 4 hour spots etc. Looks like you guys figured it out!

FINALLY a van that's got its back doors covered - love it. I never get why other van lifers put so much effort into their design and then leave the back doors bare, makes it so uncomfortable. I love the colours you chose and the mirror is a beautiful element.

Do you ever miss being able to walk between the front seats? Does the passenger seat swivel? If not, is there room to swivel, using the couch extension as an ottoman?

I used to work on an ambulance also. You’d be surprised what those type II vans can hold. Tight fit bit everything you need. What an amazing set up. Love it

Thank you! We just used pine plywood as the surface and then bought chalkboard paint from Home Depot! - If you do the same, make sure you prime the wood before hand and leave the paint for the allotted amount of days so it has time to cure properly. We wrote on ours a few days early and now it is more difficult to erase the chalk!

This is the first setup with the bed up front that made rethink what I want in my van. I always thought swiveling chairs are key, but with the l-shape couch you take care of that part too. Plus the table and the view. So great! What size is the bed once it's made? I'm trying to figure in two dogs, lol.

The table leg is one of the most functional components of our van, we highly recommend buying one for yours! You can even buy a second mount and secure it to a different spot, inside or potentially outside, to have two areas to use your table! Our bed turns into a double. We gain more space by sliding our seats forward in the front since as we mentioned in the video we are both tall! Although we love our set up for us, having two dogs may be a bit tricker with our design as we already dance around Occy in our van which is only the 144" wheelbase. We have seen the inside of a lot of different layouts in vans and an advantage for you that I can see with the swivel seats is it leaves space in between the front seats for one of your dogs to curl up in a walking free zone!

So glad you liked it!! Not exactly. We were working a lot to save during those 5 months and also trying to enjoy Max's first Canadian summer. We (mainly Max) also spent a tonne of time just researching how to do everything! If we were to do it again and full-time I think we could smash it out in around 2 months : )

It’s sad to see an old video of theirs. They are not together any more.

I really like the kitchen at the back of the van so that you can cook outdoors and the L-shaped couch gives it a really open feel 👍

I would recommend using canvas slipcovers so you can take them off and wash them. Canvas wears like iron.

Thanks guys!! We we very lucky and one of my friends from work sewed the cushions for us. I will need to get back to you on the material as I can't remeber exactly however they've held up amazing (especially with a dog). They are machine washable and they have zippers on the back side to take on and off. Good luck with your build!! I'll touch base soon about the material.

Beautiful van! This is almost exactly how I'm doing mine except I'm having a big desk in place of where y'all have a closet and my closet will be cabinets above the couch. I even have the same caddy corner shelf just next to the entrance at the sliding door. It's such a great layout with the kitchen and hall all the way to the back doors and the couch up front!

Éliane that's a great question. Max and I talked about that the other day. At the beginning of the trip my mind was always wandering about thinking maybe if we did this or that instead. However now that we function so effortlessly in the van together while on the road I don't know if we would want to change anything. I mean if we had more money it would have been epic to have a bigger van, maybe an oven and permanent toilet /shower. However with our budget and skill set we are very content with what we accomplished.

Hi Max & Lee, Thanks for uploading. Giving me great ideas for when I do the same. Regarding a permanent shower, since your sink is so close to the back door, maybe look into getting one of these. I bought one for camping and it's great. Plus its got suction, hook, or screw mounts. It was $48AUD. oh btw the USB charge last for about an hour worth of shower time. So i only really charge it once a week (just me).

We use public washrooms which we have no trouble finding. If we are camping really remote we have a shovel and dig really deep! As for the shower we have an outdoor solar shower that works great, we fill it up from any tap and try to use it whenever we can.
