BEAUTIFUL Pakistani Wedding in the Mountains (Super Rare)

→ Join me for daily adventures on Instagram: / evazubeck
Over a year ago, I was invited by a Wakhi family I befriended in the North of Pakistan to attend their eldest son's wedding... and make a film about it. It was a true honour, and rare opportunity to take part in the wedding celebrations of an ethnic community that lives in one of the remotest parts of Asia.
Congratulations once again to the lovely couple, Parveen and Pervaiz. May your life together be filled with happiness and good fortune. I will be forever grateful to the Posh family for embracing me as one of your daughters.

    I hate how media and corrupt politicians have divided us. As an Indian living abroad, I still remember my Pakistani neighbour, an elderly man with children of his own.

@@Thappadmaarpahalwan5544 the fact that you don't understand the sentiment behind my statement shows enough. The person I spoke of was was a dear friend of my family for more than 30 years. Also, unlike what media portrays, not everyone is the same. Yes some people are heavily indoctrinated, but there are exceptions. Indoctrination can be found on both sides of the border. Also, remeber that it is propaganda and extremists that have destroyed nations, not the simple people. No one blindly trusts anyone, but at the same time we need to spread love, not hate. People were forced apart by fear and hate. So you want to live your whole life blindly putting down those who choose to see others as human and those who want to rise above the hate? I love my nation and I have always wanted to be part of diplomatic relations mainly because it takes empathy but also wisdom to truly serve as a citizen, not mere knowledge. This is also why I love the heads of our nation's main defence and international relations. They have kept peaceful ties knowing that the ones who seek war are not the simple people. My comment wasn't because I got fascinated by a box of sweets. I know people of many religions who use the carrot and stick method. But not all relationships have to be based on religion. Also, the next time you want to make such a statement, please do so in the same language as the comment posted. This is an international platform. Be open with what you have to say.

As a Pakistani, I'll always remember how you introduced the world to the beautiful wonders and diverse ethnic, cultural and geographical landscapes of my beautiful country. We're indebted to you, Eva. It's such a beautiful wedding. Also, it's a Pakistani tradition that almost all ethnic and religious groups follow here. We all personally invite people to weddings by meeting them. Inviting someone on the phone is culturally frowned upon.

Glowing faces, content at heart, smiles, fulfilled and above all enjoying every minute of their life, if this isn't life I don't know what is? Pakistan has so many cultures, people of different traditions, although I have been living in Lahore for 35 years, yet I have believed such people or traditions existed.
