Thank you Sam that was a great tutorial, easy to follow and so clear. I have made a Bureau Box with your instructions but my lid doesn't lay down very well so I must have done something wrong but I am pleased with what I have achieved. Now for the dividers. A great project.

Hi Susan, I think you may have done what I did. Re-watching it for the zillionth time I think this may be the problem...When Sam measures the cutting angles for the sides she is measuring 4 inches from the corner of the long side which will be REMOVED,, whereas she measures the short side's corner at 3 inches which will be KEPT.. I do hope thiis may help..Jo x

28th Nov 2023...hi Sam, I've been wanting to make a couple of these for a few weeks for my grand daughters....finally finished my last project and I'm part way thro the bureau. I decided to do a prototype to see how I got on. I think I'm doing ok but, just want to point out...where you said you'd cut your paper wrong and we need to cut 9 x 6 (for the sides)...my practice box is being done with 1mm grey board and 9 x 6 only just curls over top and bottom. I don't think it will wrap round 2mm...this is to maybe help others making it and so you k ow. I love your demos...they are clear and easy to follow...I've made quite a few of your gift bags the last being diamond gift bag in chrissy papers. You are so talented and thank you x

Oh Samantha that is just fabulous ! I wish I could go to my craft room this minute and start making that beautiful bureau. I’m recovering well from my back surgery. Doing everything I was told .... unusual for me ! I should make a full recovery. I’m making a list of what I’m going to make when I get back crafting. This project is at the top of my list. Great idea using the glass knob, it will also help the lid stay down due to the weight of it. Can't wait for the next video for dividers.💕

This is just beautiful!! I have one stationery came in from years ago, this is deeper and more fabulous. I have never done this before, but oh I am going to make one...I had grayboard and got rid of it, didn't follow you then! Thank you so much. I too tried to buy the papers but they are all out just now, so I will use other 12 x 12 papers.

Well . I fall in love with this project. So i made one with a beautiful paper.. some laces and a brouch.. thank you very much.. following you always!🥰

Suggestion when cutting down a screw is to put a nut on first and run it all the way down to the head of the screw so when you back it off after cutting the threads off it will help smooth out the burrs you can get from cutting the screw making it easier to screw into the female part.
