This lovely little film brings me to tears every time I watch it. My husband and I have been married for 45 years, and hope for many years more. At the same time, we know that we must be prepared for the reality that we are going to die, and one of us will be left alone for a time. We have tried to be a good example and teachers to younger married couples, especially within our church. The filmmaker here, in a very brief moment, perfectly captures a beautiful example of married love, and the spreading of that love.

A side note about the poetry.. There are more than one poem there. The couple are playing sort of literary game, one starts with a couplet of a poem and next one should continue with another couplet which got to start with the last character of the first one :) And by the way thanks for great translation :) Just a comment for the first couplet, I believe it can better deliver the meaning to be translated like: “Those who know the true love (are in a journey) in the deep sea (of real love) They (choose to be) drowned but didn’t polluted (not to pollute) themselves to the water” Cheers!

Thank you for the translation. It is always hard to decide to provide an accurate translation of the words or the meaning of the poem. Due to the Persian poets' words and sentences providing such a depth of meaning, it is very hard to translate it into English and not make the translation too long for the viewer.

Thank you so much for this added information. Makes this film even more poignant ❤ If ever someone has the time, it would be so wonderful so have a written translation of all the couplets, more fully translated/expressed, to be able to take the time to savour this deep poetry. This is hard to do within the film itself.
