As I understand, the new Parliament building was a necessity because post 2026, the maximum allowable number of MPs could be increased from the current 550 (LS) and 250 (RS). However, I hope the productivity of the Parliament increases. The opposition's behaviour has been appalling.

@Takumi Usui Secularism was dead on 15.08.1947. Congress and other anti Hindus have kept it alive to get votes. It worked for them. In India, Muslims follow Islam, Christians follow Christianity, but Hindus have to follow secularism. In short this is what has been put into Hindus since independence. That has worked for 75 years. Now it cannot work. First atrocities of invaders have to be recorded and facts to be recognised. White washing has been done for too long. It cannot go on for ever, irrespective of who is in power. One more fact is Christianity and Islam are religions of invaders for Hindus.

Pakistan made its own Parliament Building in Islamabad in 1980s.. Thanks to Modiji we too have one made now in 2023

Pakistan had to do it because they had no building as such. We already had one built by the british, so didn't need a new one. Now it has become old, we need more capacity, new features and far more security. Hence we built new one. Old building will be preserved and tranformed into a museum.

According to projections, India would have around 848 lok sabha seats, much more than the current 543 seats. So, to fit all the members, this new parliament is made.
