Amazing job! I think I would have centered the diamonds off the driveway though, I mean off the curb side because that's the one spot where your eyes are going to look to match up Where if you're in the garage you're going to see it match up on the garage side so I can see both ways but for curb appeal I think putting this diamonds in the center of the entire driveway not just the garage would have been nicer but either way it looks freaking amazing

Great video guys! Do you oil the boards to help with removal after the concrete is poured?
@OdellCompleteConcrete
Жыл бұрын
Yes definitely
@silentepsilon888
Жыл бұрын
@@OdellCompleteConcrete .. question, why don't you pack the gap between the boards with sand or small gravel? That will prevent concrete to fill between the boards and wedge them in place and come out fairly easy during board removal.
@10p56
Жыл бұрын
@@silentepsilon888only if you volunteer unpaid to clean all that sand back out.
@silentepsilon888
Жыл бұрын
@@10p56 ... why clean out the sand? They need the sand as a base to install the turf on it anyway. In fact, they will have to add more sand once the boards are removed. And cleaning out the sand would be a whole lot easier than hammering and chiseling out concrete that has hardened up between the form boards and is wedging them in place.
Nice video…cover the expensive garage door made of glass or put it up

Can you tell me kind of gravel I can use as a base and to mix in my cement for a backyard patio? I have no. 57 drain rocks currently on the ground but someone told me that's not good for a base...

Buy a locator. Hook up to copper the meter, then trace it out. USA will only go to meter for water. Not on property (for water)

Yeah should have but saving up for a big one
I’m hoping the turfing works but I’m having huge doubts about the feasibility of 5’ turf sections. Seems absurd.
It’s always annoying hitting water or electrical lines not because of the mess or the inconvenience but because they should not be that close to the surface in the first place.

If I'm paying thousands of dollars for a new driveway that I expect to last 20 years or so, I definitely want rebar in it.

Each individual pad will move freely from one another soon as a vehicle goes on the driveway and sends a Shockwave throughout. Hopefully the pads don't raise up and down on one another
@FlourescentPotato
Жыл бұрын
the rebar in this drive won't do anything though, because a small pad won't crack. big pads crack because they're so heavy they flex and snap on themselves
the guy with the jackhammer should have ear protection , otherwise good job as usual

I am a C8 contractor out of huntington beach ca. I own a cat300.9d mini excavator that has a breaker attachment. If you ever need one to rent let me know I will rent it out to you. Concrete with rebar or wire is no match for it.
