I am late coming to this party.....turning 70 next month. Bought a homestead two years ago and just grew my first garden last year. This will be my second garden this Summer. It is bigger than last year. Bought an All American Pressure Canner. A book is coming from Ebay next week to teach me to can and preserve for the first time in my life. It is never too late to learn these skills😁 It is a pleasure to watch you young ones and your children enjoy farming and gardening.

I pressure canned and also froze our garden produce with my Mom when I was young. 40 years later, I have started up again, doing it on my own. It is SO SATISFYING. This channel is packed with great information, and a wonderful family. Good luck to you, and your garden!!

I'm 68, just a small plot gardener but we have a bare side lot and my husband is looking seriously at old Farm All tractors for sale! I've wanted one for so long and can't believe it. Watching you on yours today I think finally made him want one. Thank you, Andy and Meaghan!

So wonderful gonna be 70 and just start homestead two years ago. That is awesome. I’ll be 60 in August and I’ve accumulated all the materials and things I need to start canning because I wanna learn. I was feeling kind of down there. Figured I wouldn’t have enough time to do these things reading your commentMade me happy while I want to do it even more thank you
Thank goodness Andy has a wife with a very positive attitude about life. She keeps lifting Andy up when he’s in doubt. God blessed him. 😊
My wife rings a dinnerbell when she feeds our cows. The benefit is that they can be called to you if they need moved or if, like us, you have the occasional escapee😂
A man who is nostalgic about corn seeds is a good hearted man!
Really hoping Andy's 20+ year old corn seed grows 🤞🙏
I can feel the peace and joy there on your farm. So beautiful with the corn growing, the tractor going, the hay baled up in the field, and you, Meg, sitting on the back of the truck shelling peas. All that's needed is for ya'll to adopt me. lol. We have 3 acres, the garden, pigs and animals are recovering from the bad hail storm, and I am just so thankful, grateful and blessed.
I have to tell you this story. Mom and dad were very poor growing up, and mom canned and preserved every little thing from the garden. One year,in particular, the garden just went on and on and was getting weedy. One day, dad got tired of it and bush hogged it all down. When mom got home from work, she was fit to be tied and told dad she had planned to make more relish from what was left, and dad said, well, I got it all chopped up for you. Lol
I love this precious family. God Bless you all and pray that you guys have a great and abundant harvest.
Andy is so sentimental, a fine quality 💯

Meaghan hit the jackpot, Andy is a rock solid dude.
I just love watching you guys! It reminds me of when I was a little girl tagging behind my daddy on the farm. There wasn’t nothing any better than playing barefoot in a fresh plowed field!! I learned how to drive on a tractor!! Oh what memories!! Thank y’all for sharing your life!!!
Your children are blessed for the life you have
What a day of work and play to see what we can grow. It will be neat to get to eat all the foods we sow. You folks are raising another generation of farmers and ranchers who will be able to pass their love and knowledge along as you two are doing. My hat is off to your FAMILIES for raising and teaching you two the way you are teaching Jacob and Maggie. What a blessed family tree you all have. Fred.
The mics you guys are using make a huge difference! Great audio to go along with your great videos.
I liked hearing you call your cows and they came!😊 It was very beautiful to watch. Good job.
I too love videos when the cows are moved to the fresh pasture. They are so happy.
Bacon, egg and cheese looks really good. You 2 are really blessed and so good together. ❤ yall
That was interesting to learn why your corn did better in one spot than another. An underground spring perhaps. This is what farmers must know. They must understand their land. You did a good job explaining it to us.
@h.sinclair

my understanding was that both fields were the same soil (100 yards apart) but the good field had a cover crop on it for a season, and other field didn't - did I get that right from the video? Corn still looked pretty good in the "other" field but the best field corn looks like it's gonna exPLODE!!

the best field has been cover cropped every winter for the past three years the other one has been left bare

So relaxing to go with you for the day. That was really interesting about the underground water. The explanation sure sounds plausible. Your family history on the land sure gives you a big hand up in figuring it all out Andy. I have a mind your ancestors are smiling down on all of you!😊
Fingers are crossed for the red corn to actually do what it should, that would be great! Nice to see you all working together to get the jobs done, and I appreciate the look into your daily lives. Thank you so much

So glad you stuck with it!
You are doing great Kitten. You are an authentic young lady and I know we have relatives there! Love Granny from NE Florida 👍😘🌴
Little bit of time n patience n a bit from the guy above showers by some rain,,,I'd say things are looking pretty good 👍🤓👍❣️🫶❣️
I can just smell corn on the cob and peas and dumplings!
Y’all’s garden is looking awesome!
Did you know you can briefly boil pea pods, after removing any strings, purree and use for cooking? They are nutritious. After boiling, cool quickly and purree and strain through a fine mesh strainer using a spatula, adding nuts and spices if you like for a pasta sauce or for a dressing for macaroni salad.
Maggie is so sweet, she’s a great helper.
Meagan you are the coolest most beautiful woman on the planet. I hope one day I can find a queen like her to give my heart to and grow old with. I wish you all the love and happiness and success that life can bring and I hope you have a beautiful day sweetheart. God bless you
I think I get just as excited as y’all do when I see the vegetables growing. Great job great family ❤
Y’all are so sweet,I pray Andy’s sentimental corn comes up.
Dixie Lee peas are my top pick.Easy to shell.Dark pea soup. Great flavor.
Praise God, you 2 are 2 peas in a pod. You are so good together. I love watching and listening to yall videos. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Hope you don't mind, I do pray for you guys, that God will yall and your work. ❤
I grow my pumpkins over pallets keeps the fruit off the soil definitely helps with bug damage ...
It’s so awesome to see your kids and your son driving the tractor. I remember riding on the trailer behind my uncle with his tractor and when I got older, I took a course of nursery operations and they had a tractor and I love driving it all over whenever I had so much fun , you guys are awesome😊
I think it great watching you all working together. God bless.
I plant winter squash around the edges of the garden and train them to go out over the grass. You have to be willing to let that grass grow but it is ok. By doing this you don't use up much garden space.
Your "Old Red" corn seed will be a marvel to see how it does! It may just sprout. One of the the red corn varieties was salvaged from the last four ears someone had kept and their heirs found them while cleaning out the estate. MI Gardener channel talks about a shadow box garage sale find of tomato seeds that was maybe a hundred years old they got several to sprout. My father used to make "rag dolls" (spread corn on damp cotton squares, roll up and put in a soup can put in the cabinet above the kitchen stove to see how well his old commercial corn remained viable (he might have had some five to ten years old at the time).
You go Jacob looking like your Dad driving the tractor 😮
Wow, I’ve never seen a husband Help a wife so much!!! 🙌 🥰 🙌
Your corn plots are beautiful, and your dinner sandwiches looked delicious! Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for farming! Your both a treasure to watch! ❤
Good looking cows
Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches are the best for supper! Grew up eating them and still do!
I love your dishpan. I would love to have one like that!! I have a double boiler in the white enamel.
The garden looks good, there's nothing like just stepping out your door getting fresh vegetables, fresh fruit... GOD BLESS 🙏 the first video that I seen Andy just had picked the popcorn... So I guess I've been watching for a year. So glad I found y'all's channel...
This channel makes me so happy. I wish i had my own land to farm on but i have a bag yard with lots of grow bags, i have been trying to grow plants. I hope your old corn kernels grow. Sending love from san diego California ❤️
Perfect video to go with my morning coffee
Start saving your heirloom seeds. The WEF has already made it a law in other countries you can only have GMO seeds and you can't share any seeds you have with neighbors or anyone and the GMO seed once you plant them and harvest them the don't have seeds inside them like you would with heirloom seeds/ plants. Also GMO is not good for anybody. So save as much as you can from you harvest this year . I love you gardens and that you're kids are so involved and even have there own little garden's that's how I was raised kids today have know structure in there upbringing .
Love watching you guys. ❤ We also love bacon and egg sandwiches 😊
It being so hot we had scrambled eggs/cheese,fried o ions, broccoli and hot dogs..been cleaning ,planting and pickn string beans..tomorrow we are suppose to be 98° not counting heat index..blackberries shrivln. Got enough to make jar of syrup..Everyone be safe in this nasty heat!!🙏🙏🙏
Puppy watch her put on the tractor 🚜 she lives all you Jake he is amazing and Maggie love them ❤ pumpkins. Greens. Turnips big demand money making
Have you ever seen the cows babysitting for each other? It happens!
I love how you use the basin to pick. Reminds me of cleaning vegetables with my grandma. I need to find one of those….

@@h.sinclair I’m not much into antique stores but there are a lot near me, so I’m definitely going to have to be on the lookout for one!!! I’m sure it will be a bit, but I had forgotten about it til I saw Megan’s. I’m not an extravagant shopper so I’ll feel ok treating myself to it to have some nostalgia of memories with my grandma! 🙂I do have a few antique kitchen items from her that I love. An applesauce maker, a corn remover thing no idea what it’s called but use it to cream corn for pa Dutch corn fritters. Have her dough board. Have my great grandmas wash board. These crazy times really make me wish for a simpler, quiet life. Even though I know they worked hard and times were tough, I’d rather work hard and have a quiet simple life…. Blessed for the life I have but the older I get the more I miss and want to get back to more of country living….
Congratulations on the cows coming to you so easily of course the horse galloping was sweet to see. Also congratulations, on the peas and corn I would say that's was probably good day. I enjoyed watching so much fun !
To get rid of slugs, buy a pair of ducks. Slug vacuum .
Do Your Best,The Good Lord Will Do The Rest...... Y'all Are Such Hardworkers. May The Lord Bless Y'all With A Bountiful Blessing.....

Jacobs getting really confident on the tractor ❤he's going to be a great help on the farm for certain!
Love the video❤️ also I have wonderful memories of staying with my Grandparents on their homestead They raised hogs and had a huge garden ❤
I’m reminded of an old Amazing Rhythm Aces song by y’all, and it goes both ways. The song is “Big Old Brew” and the line I’m thinking of is: “I know you’re working every day just as hard as I do, if I didn’t think that I might have loved you but I wouldn’t have said “I do”! Y’all are some hard working folks! Glad to see your sweet peas making, I really struggle with those in this Alabama heat! I do much better with them in fall. Enjoyed, as always!
Dinner looks delicious! Praying that red corn comes up for ya🙏❤️
I can't get my sweet peas to grow like that to save my life !!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome video s and Family. Have a great day
I do pray you get enough credit corn to do many more years
Hope your corn does well, what you do have looks good., after it got that high, mom planted squash, melons and pumpkins. Sometimes they did well and sometimes not.. I remember all of us standing out in the field and just looking at it, and hoping it would do well.
Hello from SUNNY!!Oregon, dragging anchor this morning a bit late😂
I love watching you guys. God Bless all your hard work and bless you with more food you can handle. I know you all share what ya can't use so others will be blessed more than usual :) I have never in all my 65 years use the saying I'm to pooped to pop besides myself. Made my day 🚜. Oh. By the way I ordered my shirt! Wearing it to my Church and let people know how wonderful your videos are and family friendly. Hugs to all and God Bless. Rebekah

We used to call the cows with "Come Boss" which said quick was "Caa Boss". Called a lot of cows in with that. Nice video.
I'm glad your corn is looking up. My corn has been struggling; inconsistent growth, spotty germination, etc. Like yours it's starting to improve but it's got a long way to go.
You all are the best! Loved this video. ❤🙏
Love watching those cows! Hated to see Andy plant that red corn since he had it as a boy but since he did, I sure hope you’ll get a good crop out of it! That’s a mighty fine dinner Meagan!👍🏼 You (all) are the Sweetest!!💛

Man, I just LOVE your channel. God has sure blessed y'all with such a wonderful life all around! ❤😊
Andy, I've never wanted someone else's corn to grow so bad in my life 😂😂😂. Here's hoping for that corn to grow!!!
I have missed you. I have been so behind my garden is flourishing and keeping me so busy and I’m also starting new seeds today. You know I’m in Texas so we have a longer growing season but busy busy busy like a BO and I got plenty of bumblebee. They must have a nest near me. I don’t know. 🐝
Sweet you spent the day together, working so long though but you still had a yummy supper!♥️
What a sweet couple!
Your family is so rich. And, Andy, your corn is going to do great.
I love you guys!!! Sweet Sweet Family! ❤️ Karen Cooper SW Louisiana
I love that 140. That one is great shape. I see them around in my area but hard to find one in that good of condition. Most of them got worn out on the farms. They are probably one of best garden tractor you will find with all the equipment that goes with it.
Got to love the country living. Thanks for sharing.
Best peas.. but not crowder the ones we always planted were just Dixie Lees here in Harnett County NC
🌱😍 I got tadpoles too! No froggies yet though❤ 🙃
Good stuff thanks for the video have a blessed weekend.
Oh my word the slugs 😮. Just the other night we had a ton. We mixed yeast, sugar, flour and water to syrup consistency. Put it on plates all around the steps to the house and caught probably 15. It worked like a champ. Fun experiment for the kids if you don't mind killing slugs.
Dinner looks fabulous
I just Love watching you and learning new things! Thank You!❤❤❤
Dragonfly making an appearance 😂
Good morning, blessings on your hard work. I love breakfast sandwiches ❤
Great video once again. Love watching your family.
