I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and since the day you got that SDLG I’ve always wondered why you had such a large pusher on it. It seems like every video that loader struggles more than any other piece of equipment you have in your fleet to effectively move snow. What’s your philosophy on keeping it on that machine? We have a case 221f with an 8-13’ HLA snow wing and our machine even struggles with that sometimes in large snowfalls. Great videos btw, love the reviews on products 👍🏽

Stan- I think you need to hook up with a heavy equipment tire company (Nokian Hakkapeliitta/Michelin X Snoplus/Bridgestone VSW, etc...) to showcase true snow/winter tires for one of your loaders. I know you've grooved your tires with a hand groover but there's no comparison to factory siped winter tires.

Oh and a supertrak sk140 with a Dennis cimaf mulching head. I do believe you will be highly impressed.

i have a backhoe on my tractor, and due to how i typically move snow, with my blower, i can't exactly back drag a certain triangle shape on my driveway. so i hand shovel that part. but, what i want to try out, is to build something like an extension blade for my backhoe bucket so i can back drag without removing the backhoe. unfortunately, im not sure aluminum is strong enough for that, and neither would plywood. so, as an alternative, i am contemplating getting a power-shovel instead. but, i also think that a snow-box would be nice to have, but would mean removing the snow blower. not exactly an easy solo job, but, im always looking for ways to improve my own snow removal ability. unfortunately the blower clogs in heavy wet snow and when it packs up like concrete i break shear pins like crazy. i love my tractor, but i wish John Deere could keep improving their equipment and innovate like other companies have.
@deereman2607 Жыл бұрын
Need to get yourself a pre-Def Deere 444k or something similar in size to really move snow in storms like that. With like a 12 ft Arctic so the power to weight ratio is there to push them big piles.

Infact i just wrote a speech for public speaking class and i willl be doing y essays nd finals projects for my other classes, I am neck deep in school work. But I guess you have to get swamped with work to rep the rewards. Tonight for dinner we went to a local restaurant for cheesesteaks, super good, always like helping put our local business’s. Oh stan, have you seen all the stuff from ego, ive been checking it all out, I can’t wait, i might seek to upgrade my mower or maybe get a new toy, something i don’t have to better my business. Make life easier for me and my customers. Anyas stan, i am glad to finally get a comment out to you, god bl;ess and go get em, your pal and freind Alexander costa

Sounds like you’re keeping busy 👍 that’s awesome about the public speaking, I use to do that a lot more too! Keep up the great work man & God Bless
We got a whacker neuson front loader at work, that Lil sob pushes snow, wish we had an arctic plow

I always seen it as a traction issue. If it had chains it would be a monster.

I think the initial price point was a lot more reasonable than others
Have you ever tried putting traction screws into the loader tires for added traction in the winter? If not, might be a cheap and easy way for a little more bite

The townhouse complexes with asphalt driveways would go nuts at the marks in the driveways from the screws.. Do similar work and thats why we cant
Mine just be me but after a long night of plowing its feel good when the sun comes up 😂😂 can actually see everything idk its refreshing for some reason

@@Dirtmonkey yessir its a know if you know type of feeling i do the same type of plowing as yall its a government contract so great $$ but unfortunately havent had an event over 3 inches :( Had 4 events slush type, its in boston right downtown on the water so it’s usually that heavy shlop unless it gets real cold well get fluff
Hey Stan, been kind of curious is there a reason you got the 530 instead of the 630? We have a 630 and love it was wondering if there was any differences that you seen as beneficial?
Sounds like u need to get rid of the sledge and get another kabota 😂
Stan! I just got a great idea!! I think. You know how people do a Christmas in July thing? You should do a snow video directors cut in July. They help me stay cool here in Florida. They might help other people feel cooler in the summer.
Hey Stan don’t know if you know this or not about front loaders but if you put the front bucket/plow down and turn with it down and not moving you can turn sharper? Hope this helps you out!!
Here a little north of Duluth they claim our last little snowfall pushed us over100 inches of snow for the season...... so far.

You’re not too far from here…sounds about right! Stay warm out there
Stan- I think you need to hook up with a heavy equipment tire company (Nokian Hakkapeliitta/Michelin X Snoplus/Bridgestone VSW, etc...) to showcase true snow/winter tires for one of your loaders. I know you've grooved your tires with a hand groover but there's no comparison to factory siped winter tires.
Oh and a supertrak sk140 with a Dennis cimaf mulching head. See if they with let you demo one or maybe they will let you come down and see there plant and how much engineering they put into that machine the frame is a cat 903 compact wheel loader but everything else is built in house by supertrak. I do believe you will be highly impressed.
Something i planned when I was building my canopy first for my tractor, was having flashing light bars, so I went with a blue and white 35 inch bars for plowing and only for snow plowing. Better than just the hazard lights in my opinion.

I dont know of a place that can have anything besides amber, white, or green for plowing. Easy way to get tickets
Hey Dirt Monkey! Can we get some more plow videos from this storm? I can't get enough of your plow videos!!!

Workin on it 👍
When’s the new artic truck plow video coming out of it plowing? waiting patiently to see that push, if they are available I would seriously consider converting my wideouts for next winter.
I road my Case 221F a bunch between sites daily, I'd love to try an Arctic, but the fixed width kills that option for me.
Yo, you Snow Mokeys doing great work.
That must have a Perkins
You should consider some twelve volt leds with magnets to stick on the side of those plow tips when heading down the road. Didnt look like much margin for era and I wouldnt do that at nite without em either
You will always push snow better than you back drag. I've done the same thing you did many times to get a better scrape.
no side walks nice
i have a backhoe on my tractor, and due to how i typically move snow, with my blower, i can't exactly back drag a certain triangle shape on my driveway. so i hand shovel that part. but, what i want to try out, is to build something like an extension blade for my backhoe bucket so i can back drag without removing the backhoe. unfortunately, im not sure aluminum is strong enough for that, and neither would plywood. so, as an alternative, i am contemplating getting a power-shovel instead. but, i also think that a snow-box would be nice to have, but would mean removing the snow blower. not exactly an easy solo job, but, im always looking for ways to improve my own snow removal ability. unfortunately the blower clogs in heavy wet snow and when it packs up like concrete i break shear pins like crazy. i love my tractor, but i wish John Deere could keep improving their equipment and innovate like other companies have.
Need to get yourself a pre-Def Deere 444k or something similar in size to really move snow in storms like that. With like a 12 ft Arctic so the power to weight ratio is there to push them big piles.
Do you have to do turf repair if you and/or one your guys damage someone's yard?

Hey Stan why don't you use your versatile Pusher on wheel loader it would be easier to take it down the road .
What’s faster the loaders or the back plows.
Hey Stan a little late but winter’s coming again I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on a new 540, do you think it’s worth 15k more for the 640 ? The machine will be used with a 10 foot pusher in a 6 acre plaza with pretty straight 100 yd runs. I would really value your input. Ty!!!
Do you use walkie talkie for coms? If not - why? I find them really handy to coordinate effort on site.
But checkout this spring g if you can a SR3 Landscape rake I think you will be highly impressed.
Is that pusher to big for the Kubota or just right?
You need two header trailers like they use for farming and then pull it behind the loader dow. The road to the next spot
Your not required to have plates in MN?
I wanna move where it snows more. Seriously. I love snow. And moving it. But where I live is such a crap shoot. One year you get solid back to back events to keep ya busy. And some years you break out the wife beaters and flip flops because it’s 60° out. Sigh. Good ol Mother Nature keeps things unpredictable I guess.

Stan your gonna need a dump truck to that snow money to the bank
I feel like this scenario is where an aritc really struggles compared to a Metal pless or something along those lines.
You should check my buddy’s channel. Griff Granger. He plows the road in Alpine Meadows CA. In Lake Tahoe. Some of his videos during these past storms are epic. Lake Tahoe has received a record 600” of snow this year so far. Monumental.
You can keep all that cold I can tell you that I was up there two weeks ago and it was -7°F out yeah I’ll pass

Glad you stuck around 👊
my dumb knowledge tells me that your wheels on the sledge are too big, which causes you to loose a lot of grip. meanwhile the kabotas wheels are smaller, giving it more grip. you're essentially just floating on the snow, instead of gripping into it.
Turned down the AC to 75. Put on a dirt monkey plow video. The house feels cooler. I can do some more work in the garage and it helps truck my brain into thinking it's not 83 degrees today.
You must of watched Ryans video where he had trouble with the guy pushing snow onto his lots 😂😂 guys getting lazy after 20 hours

@@onlyetm ok…. But it’s still illegal to push snow across a street. Minnesota Statute 160.2715 (a) (1) and many local ordinances prohibit the plowing, blowing, shoveling, or otherwise placing of snow on public roads. This includes the ditch and right of way area along roads.
