The simpler is not necessary for adding one shots or any other samples in your midi tracks. By double tapping the one shot or 808 it automatically throws the sample into simpler and then into the selected midi track

yup I was gonna say this

you can also make a folder called “template” and load an empty beat with nothing but your desired template and save it there. everytime you save a new set it saves as a new song and keeps the template the same for the next hit!

So this is been my audio midi default lol it makes me feel smart. But I used to do over sampling on eq8 till I seen the latency and mostly not noticeable till your project gets big and other latency is added. Turn on over sample at the end

Why would you have a simpler in a midi track by default? When I have a midi track selected and I doble click on the one shot I want to load in (in the sample browser), it loads it in the midi track in a simpler. Please correct me if I'm wrong

Another great tip is to save the default template with the record function mapped to the “R” key. It’s way faster to record something 🧠
