    Noel Coward had nothing to do with it. The sketch was written by Dion Titheradge for the 1927 hit British revue "Clowns in Clover" in which it was first performed by Cicely Courtneidge. (Courtneidge recorded it for HMV in 1933.)

    @@psmithii Oh, I see. Donel Clitheridge wrote this for the Nial Clowman revue: Cloven Courts, featuring Cyclical Clownidge...Perfectly understantiable. You've only to say it once. Sniff.

    "Double Damask" was written by Dion Titheradge for Cicely Courtneidge. Cicely was not overly impressed with Beatrice for performing it, and I don't think Beatrice ever did the skit in the UK.

    I was born 1988 and raised on Monty Python and I think this is hilarious!
