Slater being beat never gets old

Best writing + best acting, cant be beaten.

Grandad has obviously got of the two greatest lines again in this episode 1. “You wanna be a bit more careful about your health son. In the last 'alf hour you've done so much boot-licking you could be going down with cherry blossom poisoning” 2. Slater - “Take these two down the corridor and put them in separate rooms! I'll be along later to get their descriptions of this stone-deaf villain! And, oi! No conferring!” Grandad - “It's bleedin' starters for ten now!”

You could almost see what was about to happen but David Jason's superb acting made you genuinely doubt it until the punch line was delivered

Jim Broadbent was an underrated gem in OFAH

Jim Broadbent was cast originally as Del Boy and David Jason as Grandad, after the writers saw him playing Blanco in Porridge. Jason talked them into giving him the part of Del Boy and they were persuaded to do so.

Great character is Slater.

One of the best moments of OFAH. But I've always wondered whether Del really nicked it.

Jimmy Perry wasn't involved in 'Allo 'Allo. He was however involved with Hi-de-Hi and You Rang M'Lord.

I always thought that after this Slater would put the word out that Del Boy is a grass out of revenge.

Best scene in the show. Maybe not the funniest, but it's Del at his best

I am sure when slater signs the document, he writes his real name ie Jim Broadbent.

Final choice for Del Boy vs. 2nd choice for Del Boy! 🤔

David Jason wasn't even the second choice. An actor called Enn Reitel was.

@callumbarrington898 Nope! Enn Reitel was apparently first choice, then Jim Broadbent, then Billy Murray, and finally David Jason! It actually failed to take off at all during its first run! But then ITV went on strike, and the BBC decided to rerun Only Fools And Horses, and because there were still only 3 TV channels, the audience had to watch the rerun and slowly got into it! 🤔

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I would love to know what a real policeman's take on the ending of this would be and if it's actually feasible what Del does.

Jim Broadbent is such a great character actor. Plays a lovely guy in so many other shows and films but an absolute slimeball as Slater.

Damn, beeb made some great stuff. When did they turn to crap?
